Hi, Sorry for this random post and request. Could someone please provide a height x width x depth measurement of a Lupo GTI tailgate for me as soon as possible? Lupo's are not common in the US. This measurement is not possible for me to grab locally. We are leaving for a holiday in the EU next week. I need to determine if we will be able fly back (from the EU) with a carefully packaged Lupo GTI tailgate in the hold of the plane and airlines we will be flying. Many thanks in advance for the possible help.

Just saying hi, will ad pics fyi. 55 plate GTI in Black. In family since 2006 & kept completely standard. We have been approached 5/6 times over the last few years to sell e.g. supermarket car park seems the favourite - won't be selling until there's no more petrol in the world and maybe not even then!. A few Q's : One of the last come into the country from DE ? How many GTI's left on the road? The rear spoiler has gone weird, paint flaked off so want to get a replacement spoiler and then fit/paint - any source recommended. Thanks and Hello! from East Herts.

Make: VW Model: LUPO MOT: 28 Aug 2019 TAX: May 2019 Engine size:1.6 Fuel type:Petrol Description including modifications: 1st registered March 2002 VW Lupo 1.6 GTi. Tornado Red with rare number plate J1 UPO included. Totally Original - GTi Sports Seats & Original Floor Mats, Original CD Player One family owned since bought from VW Dealership ex demo in 2002. Most of its life it was driven by my ex wife and garaged. Currently 70400 miles. Well maintained. Last serviced July 2018 including new ignition lead set and plugs. 4 new tyres Aug 2017. Cambelt and rear discs/pads April 2015. Alternator April 2014. Original VW file containing service schedule & vehicle handbook although most receipts for maintenance now missing. Only noticeable imperfections are drivers roofline small oxidisation and two small bumps where parking barrier rubber came down onto the car recently and left two small dents but no paint damage and boot handle oxidisation. If required, I am advised by paint shop these can be fixed and resprayed for £300.(SEE PHOTOS). Other small niggles: Passenger window switch on drivers side intermittent. Temperature gauge intermittent. Drivers floor mat has lost the plastic socket attaching to the floor stud. Mechanically sound and drives perfectly and very smooth. I will be very sad to see the car go but I am moving abroad. Original alloy wheels would benefit from professional polishing / refurbishing but are very solid. Excelent car and great fun which will hold its value as well as being a practical car with a large volumetric boot when seats folded down. Valid Certificate of Insurance and supporting ID required before any test drive. Cleared payment in full before the car can be collected. Priced to sell at £3000 including registration. Morning all, Thanks for the add to these forums. I see many nice looking Lupos around, and a friendly community. I'm currently in the market for a GTi, and had a couple of questions to try and narrow down my search. > Are any of you considering selling? I've a budget of between 2.5/3.5k. Not looking for an ultra low mile rare, just a well-maintained, rust-free example. Please point me in the right direction, or PM. > Regarding the spec; can anyone advise me what the rarest upgrades were to these little cars? I would love to get one with a sunroof and/or the heated leather seats, but appreciate these ones do come with a premium. Also would quite like a Raven blue, but know these are quite uncommon... I'm coming from a BMW Z4M Coupe & Honda S2000, so am hoping to enjoy the fizzy motor in the GTi whilst appreciating the tasty MPG. Hi All, Decided that the time has come to put my GTI up for sale as it simply isn't being used any more... The car is currently based in North Wales as it is in storage, but may be back in London in the near future. The car itself is a 5 speed, from 2002 with an electric sunroof. It will come with 2 keys and has a very good service history. The interior of the car is totally standard, including the radio system. The exterior of the car is also very close to standard, with window privacy tint and the car being lowered the only visual modifications. Mechanically, the car has had quite a lot of work as listed below, some as repairs and some as personal preference! (I have all receipts for the work that has been done) KW V1's fitted; front and rear subframes polybushed, braided brake lines, Whiteline rear ARB fitted, 2 x new driveshafts, BMC carbon airbox, new starter motor, OMP front strut brace, 20mm wheel spacers all round, new alternator tensioner + belt, new clutch + timing belt, 2 x new wheel bearings (front), KAM Racing 4-1 race manifold + de-cat exhaust, EBC yellowstuff brake pads, 4 x new Toyo tyres... The car drives like a dream and is perfectly set up for spirited road use / occasional track use. It was always meant to be a "keep forever" car which means I have spent far too much money on it, but for the 3 years I have owned the car it has been brilliant! I'm looking for around £4500 ish but will listen to offers. Any questions feel free to message me or leave a comment below! The car will not come on the private plate but will be on Y181 OEF.

So I’ve been a member on here for a few months now, never really posted much. I bought the Lupo for £450, had a few mechanical problems, I broke the gearbox when I first started driving so had my dad sort that. I wasn’t really going to do much to the car as I didn’t really think I’d keep if for a long time. Slowly started adding stickers to the back and thought that’s all that I’d do as I didn’t think it was worth spending much on a £450 car. Here he is today, haven’t finished with him at all. I bought a few things and before I knew it he’s completely different to how he was when I first bought him. Haven’t really got many photos of the “in-between” stages. But he was a standard Lupo 1.4s. Nothing more, now he’s a little more exciting. So here he is just after I bought him. As standard as you can get. This is about half a year later, as you can see, quite a bit has changed. (Lowered, modded lights/ indicators , Tarantula alloys, wind deflectors, a load of other stuff I can’t think of.) Rear end, partially smoked and yellow tinted lights, wiper blank, stickers. Pressed plates. Splitter. Still a load to be done, spacers are on their way for the rears, fronts will then be done eventually, got some plans for the steering wheel to be changed and hopefully straight through exhaust at some point, body work needs some attention and the wheels need a good refurb. oh and here’s the gearstick and gator. Cherry/Pro Bomb fitted. Mainly bought for the fact it’ll annoy the people that live nearby. 25mm Rear Spacers fitted also. Still need to get passenger side rear wheel painted gold, along with returning the others.

Hi, I've decided to sell my 2005 Lupo Gti I'm the 4th owner from new.. I've owned this car for last 3 years. First Reg: March 2005 Colour Silver Interior black and grey. 1.6 16v 6 speed Central locking, CD Changer, Electric Windows, Alarm, Xeons, Aircon, 6 speed gearbox Mileage 163750MOT Till 5th February 2019 Comes with original bill of sale all original manuals etc.. The good: I've done quite a bit to it over the last couple of years, New Wheel Bearings New Track Rod Ends VW Front and Rear Shocks Rear Spring plates replaced New Front Anti-Roll Bar Bushes New Wish Bones, New Wishbone Bushes New Top Mounts New Eichbach Rear Arm Bushes New VW Headlight washer jets and accessories, etc. New Battery New Toyo Proxies Front and Rear New VW Beesting aerial, New number plate light holder. The water pump, cam belt, balance bar, water pump, spark plugs, coolant etc, was replaced in 2015 the car has been regularly serviced while I've owned it. Just had new VW coolant temp sensor. New MAF Sensor. Car is FSH completely straight and HPi clear. Lots of Invoices and receipts. There's lots more that's been done, had the gear selector fixed, hydraulic servo fluid replaced. It used to be difficult to get into 1st now works perfectly. I have a nice new set of metal pressed plated for this car will include them. The bad: A couple of rust spots, needs a new drivers door actuator, advisory for brake disks and rear spring for having corrosion, only because It was sat for a few months and wasn’t used due to new arrival of a baby. Also a small oil leak from engine, aircon could do with re-gas. Window switch sometimes sticks but window does go up. Easy fix. Sometimes makes on noise on start could be starter motor been doing it since I had it and its been fine. Usual body and mileage related marks, mark on front bumper, etc, nothing that detracts it from a clean looking car. Hi, Recently purchased a Lupo GTI and i'm now in the process of tidying it up. One thing I wanted to tidy up was the twin pipes by possibly polishing them up. Has anyone ever done it or is it even worth doing? Also, The exhaust tips seem to be a little off centre. Can anyone tell me why that is? is it an easy fix? Cheers, Tom

Hello! i haven’t been on here since 2010. I used to own a Seat Arosa 1.4 sport, made the bad decision of doing a swap for a crap car, and I’ve missed the arosa ever since! Searched high and low for another one but still couldn’t find one. yesterday, I seen a Lupo GTi and ended up buying it ? I miss these little cars, got some big plans with it ? opinions?

Hi all, I'm looking for some floor mats for my GTI, preferably proper GTI ones in black with red trim but I'll consider any original VW Lupo floor mats. Getting very fed up on the crappy aftermarket ones I have which slide all over the place! Thanks!

Anyone got any ideas why my Lupo GTi doesn't always start when the engine is warm? I've taken this to a couple of garages now, but non of them have even been able to replicate the fault, let alone fix it! An example I give them is I leave my house, and go to the petrol station (10 minute drive) ignition off, key out, leave it a couple of minutes while I fill up, go to start it again then it wont start (see attached video and try to ignore the beeping). After leaving the ignition off for 5-10 minutes then try and start the car, it'll work. The check engine light is on, the fault is apparently the engine temp sensor. However this has been replaced with an OEM part and all wiring has been check with nothing unusual to show. Any suggestions would be appreciated! 20180206_171553.mp4
