  1. Anyone have a spare gear knob? Round style. Also Interior Door Handles Lupo or Arosa in Black. It's for a Mk1 Arosa. Based in Northern Ireland but happy to pay postage.
  2. Lupo GTI Engine and Gearbox Description: For sale is the engine from my Lupo GTI, it's currently on 100,000 miles (may be slightly higher, can't remember). Will include coil pack, plugs, leads, inlet and exhaust manifold. Can include ECU + immobiliser box + immobiliser chip (x2) for an extra £50. Regularly serviced and maintained, folder full of history for the girl! I have a video of it running and a video showing a compression test across all cylinders. I'm 90% sure the gearbox has been rebuilt within its life but will have to confirm, all the signs of it being rebuilt are there. Location: Ringmer - Near Brighton in the South East. Postage: Collection is preferred. I will not ship. I can deliver if pre-arranged (within reason). Price: £500 for the two £300 each if separate. Thanks for looking!

  5. As the topic reads, I have a gearbox problem. It started today. I noticed that second gear was progressively getting harder to shift into, to the point where I can only shift into it when accelerating to approximately 3000 revs, and it takes some force to shift into second. In any other circumstance I have to skip second gear and shift straight into third. The car has recently had a new clutch. I cannot enter second gear when sat still either, the stick just stops, like it has come into contact with something. It just won't budge. Could anyone share some ideas as to what it could be? All other gears are perfectly fine. I had some trouble with fifth a couple of weeks back but it just resolved itself, this however has got really bad in the space of two 4 mile journeys :/ Help much appreciated. Thanks, Dan.
  6. Hi! My car is a 2002 Lupo 1.7 SDI, done around 116k miles, so it's getting on... The car has had a second-hand gearbox fitted last year (this box had done ~50k), and had a new clutch fitted just after that. Basically, when moving the gear stick while driving, there is absolutely no feel for when the gear engages. It's like the gear stick is pretty much loose, and there is no resistance when moving it into place. In contrast, my brother's brand new polo has a very nice feel when the gear stick pops into place. However, all of my gears do engage and the car drives ok. The clutch seems fine, although it also feels very vague, and it's very difficult to feel for the bite point. There is no resistance at all when depressing and releasing the clutch, even though it is working. I want to believe that something below the gear stick is worn out, but I'm really not sure. Any advice would be great! Ta, Graham
