  1. Hello all. Let's start from the very beginning. So I bought my Lupo GTI just under 3 years ago now - 28th June 2014 to be precise. I originally bought the car with every intention of making it a road going show car, after attending various local/nationwide shows with a select group of friends. The level of attention to detail of some of these cars was second to none and it was really quite inspiring to see first hand for myself. Growing up in the North West of England (Wigan) I was lucky to be exposed to a large variety of different automotive cultures. Be it everything from Japanese, German, VAG to Classic, High Performance and Concourse show cars. I started driving early 2012 and despite much controversy my first car was a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa D (Unlimited Edition) . However after 2 years of ownership in 2014 I decided it was time for a change. I had recently gained employment at Jaguar Land Rover - Halewood and my insurance started to dip a little. It was then I set out on the hunt for a car to tick a few boxes. I wanted something fun, nimble, fast but at the same time something that wasn't going to break the bank insurance/fuel wise. After weeks of what seemed like endless searching I fell in love with a Black Lupo GTI I had found on AutoTrader. The owner, a 56 year old lady from Rugby, Warwickshire. The car itself was absolutely perfect (Black, 6 Speed, Low mileage 64K, FSH, Completely standard and unmolested). It was everything I was looking for.

  5. Hello everybody! I've been posting my updates in the 'New Members' section but as I've done a little bit to her now, thought I'd put it up here. Nothing major will happen with the car (I don't think), but I'd like to slowly improve her and show others what can be done on a fairly tight/resonable budget. Anyway here's the story so far..... After driving my mums car for 10 months and saving up, I've finally been able to afford my own car! Being a long time lurker within this forum looking at various topics and advice from other users, I decided to buy a Lupo! I bought it in May with 62,000 miles on the clock with service history to back it up and it's only done 10,000 miles in the last 10 years! To date, I've covered about 1,500 miles including a trip to Goodwood for Players! It has great character and I love the quirky features such as the dials and pop up front seats! Mods wise I plan on lowering it at some stage and probably change the wheels for something nice and subtle with a bit of dish! So here she is when I got her...... 1st thing I was to change the cambelt just in case and also put a new seal around the gearbox as it was leaking oil A couple of months after, I let my mum drive the car for the 1st time, which resulted in a small fire and new clutch Safe to say she won't be driving it for a while! After that I saved up for some G60 steels which had come off a MK2 Golf which just needed a little cleaning. It's clear on this pic that she needs to be a bit lower! I also made some Lego dustcaps which I'm quite proud of! Then the exhaust middle box completly corroded so it sounded like a complete aninmal (until you saw it)! That dented the savings for the coilies, so I had to wait a bit more! Finally got the suspension bought a couple of weeks ago courtesy of Richard at Venom Motorsport. I read the pros and cons on here for the arguements between lowering springs/coilovers and also budget coilies/mid-range coilies, and in the end decided for a set of FK AK Street coilovers. Got booked in at a local garage for the use of the ramp and help me out a bit, until.... my alternator broke So the booking that was for the suspension was instead used for fixing the car, again. Here's the new one in.. However yesterday I finally got round to fitting the coilies (at last) and thanks to a fantasic guide on here how to fit them, it was fairly straight forward! Fronts are straight forward - take the old off and put the new ones back in the same order, but the rears were a little tricky to get to! This is the hard-to-get-to bit! It's just getting the tracking done and I'll get to see her after work today! Safe to say I can't wait and I'll put the pics up here! Future plans? I'm thinking about an iduction kit (just for the noise) and possibly a rain catcher exhaust I hope you like my thread

The wing included is Gloss black however will need matching to the original 'black magic' colour which I do not have time to do before the sale. There is a few scuffs on the rear bumper (from previous owner) Its a reluctant sale tried too be as descriptive as possible. Car drives as a GTI should and once the new wing is fitted the desirable GTI looks will be restored. LOTS of receipts to come with the car to show the cars history located in Darlington DL3 (North East) 07708088303 please pm or text any questions Please contact for a viewing not really after part ex already got my eyes on something hope to get a quick sale thanks for reading heres the photos http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0807.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0867.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0868.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0869.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0870.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0871.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0872.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0873.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0874.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0875.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0876.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0877.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0878.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0879.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0880.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0881.jpg http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii23/sc...le/IMG_0882.jpg Thanks for reading
