Hi I have a 2002 Lupo 1.4 SE and I decided to take the dash apart as the handbrake warning light was very dim, once i took it apart and saw nothing wrong i then put it back together making sure not to move the needles on the dashboard. once I had put the whole dash back together i plugged the two clips back in and the speedo dropped below 0MPH and is currently pointing at near the mileage and trip, however the rev counter was working so i thought maybe after a 15 minute drive it would sort it out, however this was not the case. the speedo does move its just not giving the correct reading and now the rev counter is stuck at 5000 RPM when the engine is not revving that high. I've tried taking it apart and checking that the plugs are clean and clipping in correctly and it all seems to be fine but the dials are still incorrect. I'd like to note that everything else on the dash seems to be working fine apart from the still dimly lit handbrake warning light. Any help or advice would be appreciated as the MOT is booked for Tuesday (22.Nov) Thanks

Hello, I'm looking to give my dashboard a small upgrade, so far i have started with replacing the radio that was stock with a Sony one. I'm looking to change my gear stick knob also and would like any links to some that yous think are good looking and comfy and if someone one could explain the process in replacing one that would be great also I'm also on the looking for the dials that control the heating and AC, if yous have any links to metal or chrome ones that would be great! And finally if yous have any suggestions on what I should do to the dashboard or interior please let me know Thank you David

Hey Guys, I recently bought a Lupo 02 but having difficulties with my heater dials as there's no illumination, I've been told it could be bulbs, however, taking away part of the dash it looks as though it's built in. I'm happy to replace the whole unit, however, getting it out is proving somewhat difficult, the only solution I can see is to remove the entire lower dash, centre console and gator. Would be great if anyone has any quick solutions as I'd rather not undergo the above surgery for a lousy tenners work. My dash is of the MK2 model and isn't as simple as the MK1 model. Thanks

Hi there I am having a problem with my electrics at the moment. My car somehow had the battery drained but the only things i had done electronically was having a new radio put in (took the wires out of the old one and put them in the new one) and putting a cigarette lighter in because the last owner took it out. I took it to a garage and they said that the alternater was charging and the battery was taking the charge and my dials were working fine at this point but i took the negative connector off the battery just to make sure it didnt die (I had to drive back home that day for 2 hours ) but when i reconnected it, the dials wont work properly. The petrol dial will go from 0 to near full and stay there when the electrics are put on, the temp gauge is stuck at the top, the handbrake light stays on along with the battery light and the rev and speed dials wont work either. The light for the dials wont come on when i put the headlights on either. The time started at 0:00 but is changing and the mileage part just comes up with a few random lines. Has anyone had this problem with the dials and been able to sort this? and does this sound like there is a power drain?

Hi, I'm looking at lupos at the moment, was just hoping someone could clarify if this is normal for the rev dials: Not sure if you can see, but the rev counter isn't actually on zero, its above zero but slightly below ten. I've seen several lupos with this, and just hoping someone can tell me if it's normal or something to walk away from. Thankyou!
