Hi guys! First post... Anyway I have a 2001 Lupo GTI 6 speed on 106 K Having an issue with 3rd gear . Basically the car will drive in third gear if I put it in nice and slowly and I think its only once it has rev matched. Otherwise if I try and up shift to 3rd gear normally it just grinds and is having none of it. Sounds to me like the syncro for 3rd? Because I can sit stationary at idle , try put it in 3rd and slowly lift the clutch up it just grinds. Whats the best route to go , I know its hard to find a replacement box so refurb? Anybody in Scotland know a place that can do it ? Cheers!
