  1. The Arosa mk2 has a different clock spring to the Lupo, and has a different fitment method. Part number: 6K0 959 653. I failed to get a new one from Seat, so settled for one from a breakers. First, remove earth lead from battery. No need to wait. 1. Use a T30 bit to unscrew the 3 torx screws on the underside of the steering wheel. Pic 1. 2. Un-clip yellow connector from airbag & remove black horn lead. Undo nut one full turn & tug on wheel hard to dislodge. Finally unscrew nut fully. Pic 2 3. Part number pic3 4. Clock spring pic4 5. Remove shroud from underside, by unscrewing 3 torx screws. Un-clip yellow purple plug. Pull up 3 red plugs in steering wheel. The clock spring can be removed from the steering wheel. Pic 5. 6. Place in new part, BUT make sure both arrows are aligned. Pic6. 7. Push in 3 red plugs to lock in. Locate wheel on spline - line up mark on wheel with dot on spline. Pic7. 8. Plug in yellow purple plug, & refit shroud carefully. Don’t force. Screw 3 torx screws back in. Pic8. 9. Refit airbag, re-attach yellow clip & black horn lead. Screw in 3 torx T30 screws. Pic9. 10. Re-connect earth lead. Test horn. Airbag light will need re-setting.
  2. I have removed the cloth interior from my GTI and fitted a leather one. Yet to wire the heating elements in but thats another storey. The leather seats do not have shoulder airbags where as the originals did. Under the seat are the yellow airbag connections with 3 wires. A brown, a white, and a blue or green depending on which side of the car. I have tried inserting resistors bridging the white and blue & white and green. I have tried 2.2 ohm, 2.4 ohm & 2.7 ohm. I have done both sides at once and cleared the fault codes using vcds lite between each attempt. But the dash light refuses to stay out. I have not tried bridging the resistor between the brown wire & either white or blue and green. Can anyone clarify for me which connections should the resistor be connected to?
  3. airbag light has come on after I replaced indicator stalk. I've double checked the connections and they seem OK so how do I get the light to go off please help!
  4. Hi, just seeing if anyone has a Vagcom I could use in surrey area. Need to switch off the airbag light and get some fault codes to fix my dash! Any help will be appreciated! Im near Thorpe Park theme park. Thanks, Aaron
  5. Hi, I've just bought myself a little Seat Arosa and the airbag light is on, under the seats is a wire not connected to anything, all I can assume is that the seats have been swapped for ones without airbags. I've tried searching the forum already but can find no conclusive answer, does anyone know what size resistor I need to connect to make the ECU think the airbags are connected and which wires are connected as there are three in the wiring plug, two yellow and green and one brown I think.
