The day has come to sell my Arosa as I've now bought a new car. I've owned the car since November 2014 and covered approx 25k in it since. It also has a huge amount of receipts/past MOT's and the V5C in my name and the original 2 keys (one with locking buttons). Spec is as below; - 1.4 100bhp sport AUB 109k - doesn't burn a drop of oil. - Custom Chrome exhaust cat back - Direnza stainless manifold - AP coilovers - 12 months old in perfect order. - Whiteline rear anti-roll bar - Rota GRA 15x6.5, rare now in 15' as they only make them in Subaru size now, with brand new rota caps (perfect condition refurbed in Jan) - Yokohama S Drives 195/45/15 - bought new when wheels were done - 20mm H&R rear spacers. - Momo 300mm, red stitching with a genuine boss and yellow horn button. - Kode red gear knob - Alpine CDE235bt Bluetooth stereo - Cambridge rear lights - Brembo discs front and back, green stuff pads (front) Brembo (rear) - Heko wind deflectors - Dash vents painted splash effect, they look nice (people always ask about them), but to be honest they're not the best finish. - Really decent rubber car mats Recent parts fitted, most/all will have a receipt... - New ignition leads (bigger and don't fit holder) - New battery - New coil pack - New tyres - S Drives - Brake light switch - Rear Brembo pads - Wishbones, ball joints & track rods - Tracking done at A-line with the printout. Serviced in my ownership every 5k with Castrol / Mobil 1 oil and decent parts - not all stamped but lots of receipts from Motorfators with the reg number for service parts. Last service was one was 2k ago. Bad bits... - Bodywork is tatty at the best. Loads of lacquer peel and about 7 shades of yellow. - Rear arches look like they were rolled by a blind person paint has cracked. also paint has flaked off around the rear number plate. - the lip on the sills on both sides are bent/damaged (used as a jacking point by someone), not really an issue but you can see it. - Windows have a mind of their own but always work, drivers one sometimes needs to be asked twice or need a hand halfway up. Passenger one opens only with passenger switch. - Rear right caliper sticks on slightly sometimes and can hear it, still stops as it should. - At some point, the engine light has been taped over, and it is on (can see it in the dark) because of exhaust lambda readings, but the car drives spot on. I also have lots of parts for lying around for it, that will come with the car if the buyer wants, including original seat 5 spoke alloys. Now I know roughly what this car will break for, but I don't have the time or can be bothered to do it. So grab a bargain on the whole lot. No swaps. CASH ON COLLECTION £750 ono

First of all hi to all members of this club,i have readen so many topics of this forum,you are doing a great job. My name is John and i am from Greece,unfortunately not so much lupo-lovers there so not much info on our blogs/forums even mechanics. At this point before i ask you my questions i will ask you to forgive me for any language mistakes,i really try to use English correctly. I know from other topics you would suggest go sell your lupo s and buy a lupo gti,but in Greece there are no gti at all.There are 2-3 that are converted to 1.6 but no GTI at all and no 6speed gearboxes.I have readen many topics from this forum propably the most organised all over the world for lupo.Lupo used to be my favourite car as a kid and i bought one 1.4s as my first car. The seller tha was a common "friend" with a cousin of mine lied to us that it was a sport and i bought it...So because i really like this car i would really like to convert to 1.6,not so high insurance etc.I am not thinking at all 1.8/ So i have a lupo 1.4 s 75 bhp cable throttled (AKQ engine code) QUESTIONS 1)As much as i know the engine mounts are the same i will not need changing them right? 2)Gearbox will fit or i need one from polo?i would prefer short shifting not so much high speed 3)i would also like to keep cable throttle because its a bit more "aggressive"(cant think the right word to use) is that possible? 4)as much as i read things that are absolutely neccesary to do the convert are engine(mr. obvious from Greece xD),engine and interior loom,ecu and chip from key? 5)do i need driveshafts? 6)can i use for the start my old exhaust system until i have more money to go for a performance exhaust system? 7)one other question if i can fit the whole dashboard from a polo gti 6n2 because mine has some damage? 8)is something that i need not mentioned? 9)are there are many ecu options from 1.6?i mean are there ecu that can be chipped,remapped and some not? 10)Sorry for so much said and asked i tried to be accurate,really appreciate your work in this place,you are the craziest lupo lovers seen.Have seen some unbelievably nice projects around. thank you for reading and answering

Hia All I'm in the market for Lupo...w00p! Looking for a 1.4 TDI Sport ONLY - I'm not interested in any of the other trims. I need one for the end of May so this isn't urgent but if the right one comes around can purchase. I have a 2004 Carisma going if anyone is interested in a swap. The thing is pristine inside and under the bonnet and has just had £500 quid spent on it plus loads of extra little bits done by the old man (a retired mechanic). Its got about 9 months MOT left n'all. I'm in South Wales but don't mind travelling to pick it up . Message me if you have anything going please

Hi! I want to get a custom exhaust made for my 1.4 tdi. Want something different like an up and out pipe. Just wondering if anyone could fabricate me one for a good price, something that'll replace the back box would be great, with all the mounts added, (Something like the picture added) Thsnks!

Afternoon All New to the site and not actually a Lupo nor Arosa owner yet but am currently looking, aiming to pick one up before the end of May, hazar! So yes hello, I'm South Wales based although I travel for work so may some of y'all on the road. If any of y'all have a yearly running cost of the 1.4 TDI Sports trim (Lupo) or the standard Arosa diesel that would be great, just going of guesstimates right now but want something more concrete before I purchase

Been on the forum for about a year now but have never got round to posting much about my own wee arosa, so here goes: Bought it March 2010 with only 23000 miles on it absolute steal for a 51 plate. Just been doing subtle upgrades as i'm a rather skint student Passed my test in March and havent stopped driving since, love my wee car Mods so far: Badgeless front grille Stubby Aerial Apex springs dropped 40mm Kenwood head unit Replaced front speakers and fitted rear speakers Scorpion Exhaust K&N air filter Black rear Arosa lights and indicators Pop out rear windows Wind deflectors 15" Viper alloys on 205 T1R proxes Painted calipers Still to do: Spray and fit spoiler Spray front and back bumper Re-spray bonnet Buy bonnet bra Now for the pics The day I bought it Once home after a good clean New headunit, front and rear speakers More pics to come

Hi all, Recently had a lot of stuff replaced after an MoT, mainly exhaust and emissions related, and now I have a clicking noise when I accelerate. I can accelerate more softly, and it isn't audible. However, if I accelerate normally, it's audible both in the car and outside. It didn't do this before the car went in for the MoT and repairs, and I'm curious. I've done a little research and come across the Evaporative Emissions Valve making a clicking noise, but if it didn't make it before, I don't understand why it is doing it now ? First of all hello to everyone, I am new to this and will probably annoy most of you as I am sure this has been covered before. I I am in the middle of an engine swap, I have a 1.4s (75hp) and am looking to swap for what I believe to be a (100hp) 1.4 sport engine, this is out of my friends car and was a second engine to him so don't know much about it... Went to fit it yesterday to get it all hooked up (on my origional ecu) didn't fire no spark, then went to switch his ecu to find out it is totally different, so would I be able to just switch out the engine loom of his car (100hp engine) if so how do I go about doing this? Where does the loom go to? Thanks in advance Kyle

Right so i was looking for a new car and i was going to be a right weirdo and buy an mx5 or an ibiza or something but i decided on this..i went to see the car and saw this massive black stripe down the side of the car, with two small stripes either side, was going to just peel it off when i got it home but now I'm not so sure...was just wondering has anyone else had or seen this on another arosa? Doesn't look like someone else has put it on and if they have it's a decent job..(i think so)...is there anyone out there seen this before? Curiousity is killing me..Can't find anything online..anyone know if it's standard or aftermarket?

I've noticed a whining noise that sounds like its coming from the engine bay. I noticed it when driving back form Oswestry, having been driving for around a good hour or so. whether this coincides with if I'm driving for more than about 40 minutes, it gets really difficult to put into gear, I'm not sure. I took it to a garage who said my clutch cable was stuck and needed freeing, but said they wasn't able to do it as it was a big job. I've been told that if you have a reasonable amount of skill, you can take the entire gearbox out on a drive...? I'm not up to that standard, but I just wondered if anyone else had had these problems, and if so, what was the cause and what was done about it? Thanks, Myles.

Sorry I'm new to this, I was wondering if anyone could share any info and help me out. I have recently brought a 1.4 lupo S with what I thought was a good spec list as I have never seen this all on one lupo, or even at all. List as follows, -pop out back windows -3 seats in the back instead of two - heated seats -easy access fold and lift seats -heated seats -cd multichanger -fog lights -electric Windows -air conditioning -sport alloys -stubby mirrors both sides if anyone can shine a light about if this is rare at all or if it is simply just another lupo then I would be very greatful ?? thanks

Recently bought my first car; a VW Fox, after 6 month of driving i'm starting to make a few changes. I'm currently trying to find a front splitter/ lip, but I can't seem to find any and don't want to risk ordering something that doesn't fit. I have a 07 1.4l Black Fox. Any help would be appreciated. So I've done quite a bit of driving today, and I just noticed my battery light is illuminated, even when the car is running. I've looked around and found that with the polos, it means there's a battery malfunction and that it's got about 500 miles before it stops working. Anyone ever had this problem, and if so, how is it fixed ? Thanks in advance. Myles. -

Make:VW Model: Polo (9n3) MOT: Aug 2016 TAX: £30 per year Engine size: 1.4 Fuel type: Diesel Description including modifications: Very cheap reliable car, done over 11K miles to and from work Alloy wheels with good tyres - one is brand new Air conditioning is ice cold Electric windows and electric heated mirrors Driver, Passenger and Seat Air bags The interior is in great condition, the exterior has the usual wear with a couple of normal car park dents (one on each side) VW service history until 2011 then independent afterwards. Last service at 88,650 miles which included new pads/shoes and discs, as well as wheel cylinders. The brakes have had a total over hall. Drives very well, had the wheel alignment and tracking done when I got it - need to for the miles I do. Comes with 2 keys, both central locking fobs for the alarm system. The car is a cat d, it had a cracked front bumper (paint was intact) and a broken tab on a headlight from the bumper moving when I got it, I was surprised that it hadn't been fixed as it looked like a parking mishap. I had the bumper, bumper bar and front panel replaced to make sure it was totally fixed and reliable as I can't afford to not have a car for work. Rather than replace like for like I requested the updated GTI front end and lights which I think makes the car look newer and more appealing. The only other thing to mention is that the clutch release bearing sometimes chirps in 1st gear, its always done it and never got worse. I've asked 2 different garages to check it wasn't the clutch and both said the clutch was good, it never slips and it drives perfectly. Location: Ashford, Kent Images: Price: £2595

Picked up my 02 1.4 auto Lupo about a month ago and this site has been pretty inspiring with some of the others members lupos ☺️, so I thought I'd leave my mark Here it is as I bought it Then debadged straight away Then full serviced, and realised the doesn't have a pollen filter! As it's not an ac model Then picked up some new shoes hopefully all the pictures will work, and I'm posting it all in the correct places aha

Right ladies and gents I'm thinking of getting rid of the lupo and going back to a mk4 golf, so I'm just putting feelers out to see where it leads too. 1.4 16v open air with FSH, cambelt and water pump done about 6k ago, new tyres on genuine BBS wheels, spare included (steel). Good interior and overall a great car. Cosmetically, its not perfect, however there are a few little stone chips around (can only see 2) but it is nearly 15 year old. Bad bits *Roof doesn't open so clamped it shut *Eml is on (reads system too lean) *Drivers speaker has gone, needs new one *Window winder handles are off a polo as couldn't find replacement ones Good bits *New pads and discs all around *New tyres (2k ago) *New air filter and oil filter *Throttle body removed and clean 1k ago *New ht leads *New maf sensor *New lambda (front pre cat) *new ish battery (when I bought it garage replaced it) *1 female owner for 13 years and only one other former keeper 07845211038

Not too sure on what wheels to get, was thinking about a few tbh. It will probably be a few months until I do anything major like coilovers but I will post it on this thread when its done. Oh, I've also noticed a few issues with it. The boot lock is completely seized, the handle works and it opens fine but the lock just doesn't move so its constantly open. It does look very corroded and will probably need a new lock barrel - does anyone know if its easy to replace? also I was driving the other day and the exhaust emission light came on, should that be anything to worry about?

=PRICE DROPPED= -Now £1100- Selling my wonderful little car, in the family since new. Runs perfectly, 84308 Miles. 1.4L 16v, 5 speed Manual. Never had an issue with it; the only negative is a few carpark scuffs (pictured) and chips, otherwise immaculate. Interior is in great condition. Central locking, PAS, driver and passenger airbag, central door locking, electric windows. The car has been well looked after and has been well serviced, oil and filters every year. A full History and all receipts are present. Two new tyres on the front. MOT till May 23rd and it'll sail through the next one. Very sad to see it go, but a new car forces the sale.
