  1. For anyone interested, the mx5 looks like this now.
  2. Rolled arches and you'll be fine.
  3. If you get wider wheels with the same offset as standard, the new wheels will stick out further. Have a play with this, it'll show the difference in poke etc between wheels. http://www.willtheyfit.com/
  4. You'll need the arches rolled. I was running 15x7 et40 wheels with 195/45 tyres, even with slightly rolled arches the rear rubbed.
  5. Measure the gap between the tyre and the arch, go a few mm less. Anything under 15mm and you'll have to get basic, non hubcentric, slip on spacers.
  6. To de baffle, cut the end off, pull out tube ( it's attached to the centre baffles, bit of a wiggle and it'll come out), bash out the baffles and other pipes as much as you want, weld end back on. This is what I did to my old 1.4s, not sure how it applies to sport models though. This is what my 1.4s sounded like with a modded oem back box.
  7. Demon tweeks sell Faulkner springs. I got the custom set for my Lupo for less than £100. You have a wide variety of specs to choose from as well. The helper springs are actually a damn good idea as well.
  8. The material came off in one go with a firm pull with my door cards. Not played with leatherette so can't help you there.
  9. That's not camber wear, that is a very weird wear pattern. Camber wear would of only worn one edge, dodgy toe settings would have an even wear as well.
  10. Pull the old material off. Take your time with the re covering. Find out if working from the middle out or from one edge to the other works best for you. I suggest getting the material stuck properly into the corners and tricky bits first. Trim fix high heat spray glue takes a little while to dry, so you get some time to play and stretch the material into the corners.
  11. On a standard shopping trolley engine a big un restrictive exhaust will be detrimental to power.
  12. Lack of back pressure will mean less torque. Lack of cat, if you're on about a proper straight through, will mean an instant mot failure.
  13. Plastic, plastic welded in. A gap that large will need to be properly cut out and replaced. Filling it up with anything is a cheap skate way of doing it that will only fail sooner rather than later. Especially in this weather.
  14. Leave them on until you come to repaint it. Take them off when you respray and leave them off.
  15. Coilovers every time. Cutting springs is for utter, utter morons who just want to fit in with their mates.
  16. Lowering on coilovers costs between £200 and as much as you're willing to spend.
  17. Lower it first. Standard, painted, hubcaps look pretty decent when the car is lowered. EG; When you've lowered it, 15inch wheels will be your best bet. Bathurst will look very good. You need to be VERY low to make 13inch alloys look good.
  18. Coolant change. Air filter Fuel filter Brake fluid. Anything that's easily replaceable really.
  19. Pretty much anything will work with the grey. Your usual colours like black, white and silver will look pretty clean and simple. You could go with a gold centre and polished lip, that'll look cool. Or, you could be silly and go for purple/pink centres. All up to what look you're going for.
  20. Take the air fresheners off, then put them back on after the MOT. You should be ok with the stickers on the rear window, my Lupo passed a couple MOTs with stickers on the rear window and yours look no worse than mine.
  21. Have a look at these. Yes, they're expensive but, they're stupidly well made. I have a Personal wheel and it is bloody lovely.
  22. You where looking for someone to tell you what to buy. Stop being lazy and do some research yourself.
  23. Shall we tell you what colour they should be? How about what seats you should get, or what colour you should paint your badges. It's YOUR car, it's YOUR choice on what wheels you fit. Find ones YOU like and get those. I will say this though, keep and eye on ebay for wheels, could get some very nice second hand wheels for your budget.
  24. Trying very hard not to post something very sarcastic and snarky. You have two measurements, all the info it there. http://www.performancealloys.com/spigot-rings.aspx
  25. Lupo centre bre is 57.1mm. So they'll fit. Ideally you'll need spigot rings to centre the wheel properly.
