  1. A little heads up GSF have a 33% sale on i bought one few month back with the same discount and it works out at £108 after discount is applied then you get £90 when you return your old unit so all in its £18 for a brand new motor. Rude not to take advantage for that price. Mine was making the whine noise when starting all is good now.
  2. Lupo is looking spot on, glad you got a clean one. Just a word of advice if you are not already using it, get some 'Trim Fix' adhesive off ebay it's a high temp adhesive to do your door cards as most adhesives will give when the weather heats up.. Looking forward to progress. Martyn
  3. I have a guy coming up at the weekend for the car if t falls through for some reason i will let you know. cheers As above mate i will let you know if the car doesn't sell.
  4. Reduced to £2600, is no one after a smart, reliable, mile munching lupo?
  5. Break it you will make more than what you will get offered, i for one would take a few ££ worth off your hands.
  6. Cheers for this mate got a starter motor delivered for £108 then get £90 when i take the old unit back! They're giving this stuff away lol.
  7. Right got the air con compressor off etc now the new non air con belt wont fit! Do i need to change the whole mount where the alternator bolts onto? Wish i never bothered lol

    Wanted Gti parts

Hi All After the following for my Gti Aftermarket Exhaust - preferably janspeed Manifold/decat Whiteline ARB Momo 280mm steering wheel and boss I am going to buy new parts but if anyone has any they want to sell i would appreciate it. Cheers Martyn
  9. Hmm confused at this part what will the benefit be Rich?
  10. Haha cheers guys, the car is getting stripped in the new year anyway for track use so any weight saving is beneficial, who need air con in England anyway. So i think its possible to run a non air con belt on it.
  11. Hi all For sale is my 2003 Lupo Tdi Sport in anthracite grey. I have owned this car for the past 8 month I bought it standard from a guy who had owned it 9 year and like myself very meticulous about the condition and appearance of the car, I will be genuinely gutted to see this little car go it is my 5th lupo and imo the best colour they come in. I am only selling the car as from early next year I will be given a company car from work so there is no need for this car as I will not need the fuel economy so I can concentrate on my track prepped Lupo Gti. As most people know these cars are becoming very rare and sought after due to rising cost of car ownership and this is a brilliant example a credit to the previous owner as well. 98,958 miles Anthracite Grey Full service History (Stacks or receipts and service invoices, Belts done etc) MOT 26/03/15 £30 a year tax 50mpg+ This car runs on a whiff of fuel I usually get 330-370 miles out of around £36 of Diesel along with the cheap tax and insurance it costs nothing to run. Spec 2003 Tdi sport Sports interior (same as Gti) 5 Speed manual Clifford 650 alarm with proximity sensor Cruise control retrofit from transporter van, (rare and very handy) lowered on Jom Coilovers (5 months old) Adjusted camber bolts Montreal 2 painted in purple 16 wheels (165/40/16 stretched tyres) FK 20mm wheel adapters all round Debadged Rear Rear wiper removed and blanked Door Strips Removed This car really does get attention the paintwork has an unreal shine to it, the pics I have put on were from 09/11/2014 and that was before I polished it so is clear to see the paintwork condition. The car has a few stone chips to the front bumper and bonnet and tiny amount of corrosion to the boot handle which is very common and can be easily removed and painted but doesnt bother me enough to have it done. The Private plate will be removed and 03 plate will be put back on. Car is located in Newcastle Upon Tyne Any questions please ask Martyn: 07884364496 £2800ono
  12. Just a quick one, I have just bought a lupo GTI, Again! and it will be getting stripped out early next year so on the topic, i believe the air con pump is making a slight squealing noise if i remove the air con compressor and all ancillaries air con wise can i use a non air con Gti drive belt which in effect will remove the air con system? Cheers in advance Martyn
  13. Yeah that was my thoughts he even sent a load of HD pics to me but i suppose from the right angles pics can hide anything. I was gutted when i seen it but happy now that i didn't just buy it for the sake of it. i have always traveled to get cars and never been let down but i guess there is a first for everything. I just hope my post stopped someone else from being devastated.
  14. Yeah i feel sorry for the bidders even if they are his mates, just for the fact of being his mates.
  15. Hi all Just a word of warning of this Lupo GTI on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-VOLKSWAGEN-LUPO-GTI-1-6-/221570473988?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3396a12004 I hate to talk of others but this really is a barge, i have owned 4 lupo's 2 GTI's and 2 TDI's so i know them quite well. Anyway i travelled from Newcastle to Bournemouth to buy the one on the above link as i was promised it was perfect and had all documents etc, obviously i knew there would have been a few niggly bits but not what i was expecting. The lad wanted £3500 2 month ago when i went. Firstly arrived and the tax had ran out over a month ago, it has been crashed on the front as various parts were held in with unsuitable aftermarket botls/screws and badly painted bumper, he has sprayed the spoiler to hide the bubbling (with a catapult) there is rough over spray all over the car, the passenger side has been painted near the rear of the door on the sill and you can see and feel the triangle where it has a different paint (I think he went to Stevie Wonders body repair centre to be honest) The car was listed with 89k on the clocks on arrival it has 78k, the history was minimal with no service book just printouts of services, to be honest i think the paper was still warm from his printer, no mileage records at all hence the 122k on ebay where it has blatantly done an auto MOT check, The car was scratched all over with badly covered touch up pen. His ad stated coilovers so on arrival i could tell from the height it didn't which led to an argument as he thought the bumpstops were coilovers (this was where i nearly snapped). The car drove awful as i thought I'm not coming 300+ mile to not drive it, gearbox was odd felt like it was staged gearing instead of a smooth transition. It was so underpowered (really my Tdi has more poke) and i know how they should drive. Lastly he was more interested in telling me i wouldn't find a better one and how beautiful Bournemouth was i couldn't stand another second of his B******t so said i would be reluctant to even offer him 2K then left to head home in my Corsa rental car. I don't like to bad mouth people but this guy was a t**t and so far up his own pumper he was coming back out of his mouth. Bit of a long winded post but i would not one anyone to waste their time or money i lost £600 on flights and hire cars and it was the best £600 i have lost over owning an absolute pill of a car. Thanks

I was after a set of these last set i had i payed £400 for if that gives you a good ball park figure i may be interested if you could post
  17. Sounds like coilpack, It may be soot on the back of the car from over fueling, obviously if the fuel is not igniting it will have to come out the exhaust which will turn it to a black oil/soot. Hope you get it sorted.
  18. It went to Scotland i think Inverness area ish, it was an older miserable b*****d who bought it. That was about 6 year ago now, i haven't heard of it since although it seems to still be on the road (tried to insure it). Going for another Gti tomorrow can't stay away from them.
  19. As Rich has said its a brilliant excuse to get it on a set of coilovers,
  20. Sounds like the alternator hasn't got a good earth which could prevent the battery from charging! Could be wrong but have a check that all the earth are connected and tight on a fresh spot or try cleaning old earth points.
  21. Thats mine on 16's think they fill the arches better
  22. I owned a black Gti on Jenveys which was an absolute beast still cry now and then that i sold it around 5 years ago. the sound was unreal it was 'lincolnshirelupo' on here who had it built up with the bodies. i would buy it back in a heartbeat if i knew it was as clean as when i sold it.
  23. i ran 7j et 20 on the front with 165/50 tyres had a good 8-10mm space in the arch on the rear i had 8j et20 185/45 tyres and would catch slightly not enough to need the arches rolled. i think you could run them ok with 185/45 tyres 10mm spacers front 15mm rear
