  2. the way i work it out is to convert litres into gallons by dividing it by 4.54609, make a note of that, then divide the number of miles you've done by the gallons. i managed 34.78mpg last week! i'm amazed!
  3. never seen any with embroidered gti on them! would be nice tho! i'd give justmatz a call and see what they could do! gti's are supposed to come with mats, usually with the red edging
  4. you checked the dizzy cap is on straight? or it could be the dust cap inside the dizzy, under the rotor arm hitting the rotor
  5. i had to click "don't want to go", even tho i do want to, its just too far away i'm afraid!
  6. yeah, push it sideways, has 2 small pins that fit into grommets on the quarter panel!
  7. its a torx bit, not sure of the size tho, and i think there is a slot for a flat-bladed screwdriver too!
  8. the part no is 1j0 949 101 i think and they are fitted to most vw's from at least 2000 onwards! we keep them in stock at work, think they retail at around £9 - £10 each!
  9. probably just a fuse! they're designed to blow if there is any sort of spark or overload! check your fuse box and on the back of your radio!
  10. i got a mk4 ani badge on the back of mine! first mod i did other than the black vw badges!

  17. Grey Lupo GTi spotted last nite (3/9/2005) at around 7 in the evening. no plate GV 04 ***, did flash you! Was on the gatwick road, just past Sidlow Gatwick.
  18. im usually aim to get there for around half 7 ish, and quite often don't leave til way after 11!
  19. i managed a 5 drawer chest of drawers once, in the days before the sub box!
  20. mine was all fun! luckily, all done on warranty! started as light come on, as i work for vw, they put it on the diag machine, said camshaft actuator and charcoal cannistor and its soleniod were at fault, so booked it in and had them done. next day, the light came back on, checked it again, same faults! they thought it could be a wiring fault, as the solenoid wasn't getting the power to actually switch it on! whilst they were m(f)ucking about, i checked the fuses, and it turned out that one had blown! this fuse ran the charcoal cannistor, its solenoid, the camshaft actuator and this heater that is fitted to the crankcase breather pipe. found its not even listed on a lupo, only a brazilian polo (it stops the oil freezing in the block in extreme climates!), so why a brazilian polo would need one!? had this pipe changed, and haven't had a problem with it since!
  21. mine came on within 2 days of buying her, turned out to be a breather pipe with a heater fitted half-way. kept overheating and blowing the fuse, causing the light to come on! trouble is, that the pipe isn't listed as being fitted to a lupo! fitted to a brazilian polo!
