  11. Hey there, my loop Sport is starting to play up a bit, its a W reg. Sometimes and most of the time, it starts up fine, but every once in a while, the engine turns over, but it doesnt actually start running properly. I pump the accelorator abit, and then it kind of kicks into life sort of, and mumbles and struggles, as i pump the pedal. It makes a kind of choking, bubbling sound?? Then it all kicks into life, and revs really high (because iv pumped the pedal) and settles down, and drives normaly! Any remadies?! or thorts? Please Help Thanks James
  12. Hey, was driving home fro nottingham, and on the other side of hte motorway going oposit way, i saw a yellow lupo (dont know what engine size or anything), it had balck stras going up the left side of hte bonnet, and a surf board, in a board bag. Looked great!!!!!!!!!! Any on here?? James
  13. They saked what sub it was, so i said to them, either the 10" or 12" type R from Alpine, and she said ok we can do that, we exchanged small talk bout sizes and fittings, and she said that if they arent ok, then the shallow sub is an option, but said its up to me as it was just an option, not a proffered recomendation! All she said was to measure they whole where the spair goes, if any1 knows the measurements?? James
  14. Hey, iv got a company that are going to create the box in the spair-wheels area, £150 parts and labour, and they tune it to be pritty much perfect! Does any1 know if the Alpine Type R sub would fit, either 10" or 12", or should i play it safe and get the shallow sub? Was also thinking of the Vibe Space 2 sub???? Any thorts? James
  15. ] Yeh i did the same, im with admiral and paid it all off in 1 go, so im all cool for a year with out having to think about it! Its better that way lol.
  16. Hey all, iv just had my pedal box repaired, now when it went it to be fixed, the windows were fine, on the drivers side, you push the swithes down once and they go down on thier own automaticaly to the bottom (or top) However, after getting me car back, they dont seem to do this anymore and i have to hold the buttom down (or up) untill the window has got the the bottom (or top). If u catch my drift? Whats wrong with it? and how can i fix it? Cheers James
  17. Thats really good!!! Iv got a loop Sport, costs me around 1150, and thats with my mum and gf(<learner) both on it as named drivers, other wise it would be around 2-3000 a year. Live in a fairly quite town, but a roughish area of it, on the street by house, 5-7k miles a year, driving 2 years, 0 NCB but have 3points due to speeding So im happy with 1150 haha!
  18. I wasnt going to put it in a box, it would just rest against the MDF flooring that id cut out, And a small port either side of it, soming like a moon shape that follows the curves of the sub? Able to do, and worth it?? James
  19. Hey all, i was thinking of getting a custom build for 2 subs and an amp in my Loop Sport a few months back, but was put of at the space in the boot and was told that there would be problems gettin it all in the boot. Recently a mate (who owns a 6N polo) and i were chatting about boot installs, and i came up with the idea of taking out the carpet that covers the Spare wheel, templating it, and making a new1 out of MDF or what ever, and mounting a sub in the MDF so it would fit where the spare wheel goes. I would place down Matting on the bass of the Area as you would when putting speakers in the door panels and such, and carpet the MDF, then place the sub sumwhere! Would this be ok? and has any1 done this yet, if so, what were the results? Thanks James
  20. 19 With a GTi!????? how much is ur insurance!?
  21. Hey all, iv been a member for a few months now, and got my first lupo a week ago, Black 1.4 Sport, I love it!!!! Its such a fun car to drive, and every1 on the motorway gives it the amazed look as it stomps past on the motorways haha Love the site, and its always helpful. Hoping to get some pics up soon, but not sure on how to upload pics on here?! James
  22. Iv been to my local VW dealer with the problem, they said that with the recalling lupos and such they cant fix mine free of charge due to it being nearly 2 years out on their recal warrenty, however they will fix it at a reduced price of £220 instead of £380-400. Im considering buying the components from them, which were only £34 for the lot (which was 3 bits) and having a friend of mine who is a local mechanic put it all in for me. Hopfuly he will do it for me at a good price! He also thinks he will beable to help my supercharge the loop, so im hoping everything is going to go well! Will keep you all posted on any updates! James
  23. Im having the same problem. Iv jsut bought a 2000 lupo Sport, and there is a sqweek from the clutch pedal every time i go to change gear, thats followed by alot of swearing as i struggle to change gear. Im hoping that i will be able to blag my local VW dealer and get them to splash out a bit, as i havnt got the money to get everything done at the moment. What a pain! James
  24. My loop is 29,000 miles but is 2000/Wreg. so im guessing they wont change it for me? And how much would a new pedal box be to replace roughly? James
