  1. Wow..very impressive, that's one mean looking Fox!
  2. Hmmm the door doesn't 'ping' either. It's also got a sticky switch in the door recess that's supposed to light the internal car light when the doors open. Think I'll have a small list of defects for them to look at when it goes in for it's service. Any other features I'm missing???????????????
  3. Tech specs say combined should be around 47mpg, mines averaging 44mpg too Will mention my non-pinging exterior light warning next time it's in for a service, an annoyance more than anything else. Cheers Rich
  4. This one has been bothering me for a while.... Does your Fox have any audible alarm for the lights being on when the engine if off? Lost count the number of times I've got out and left the bloomin' side lights on *grrrr* Might be my Fox, it has a small history of things that didn't work out of the factory *lol* Rich PS My Black Fox (Urban) now has rear tinted windows, darkest legally possible, looks dead cool PPS Only seen one other youngster in my area driving a Fox, it's Yellow with pink flowers all over it *lol* guessing it's a girl!
  5. Just topped 10k ... had an EPC warning light on the dashboard. Taken it back to VW dealership, who surprise surprise said nothing has been found wrong with it (the light disappeared the morning it was taken in) Reading through other forums on here, the EPC light seems to be linked to the brake switches or throttle issues. Suggest everyone keeps their eyes open for this problem. If it is a brake switch, apparently rectified pretty easily ... although being under warranty just take it back to the dealer. Anyone getting more than the specified mpg? Rich
  6. Anyone know if the EPC problem would be the same on the VW Fox (2006) ? Mine has just come on today, immediately booked it in with the dealership as the car is still under warranty. Doesn't appear to be a performance problem, but did notice the air vents were unusually hot when blowing out warm air....might be my imagination though. Will check the brake lights as when the car was initially bought, the brakes wouldn't come on unless undergoing an emergency stop (dealer rectified) Cheers Rich
  7. Finally ....a new VW Fox forum! Mines an '06, one of the first in East Yorkshire. Had a few problems when first took delivery, boot catch wouldn't centrally lock, boot lock wouldn't manually open *helpful*, passenger mirror had glass missing and the small problem of pressing the brake pedal resulted in the brake lights not lighting unless you pummelled them into the floor. Persisted and it's a beut of a car, a couple of rattles here and there mainly in the roof lining and one behind the dash, approx 9000+ miles. Had the rears tinted as dark as legally possible, matches nice with the black paint work. Rich
