overall bass is much, much better yes. especially when i turn up the speakers in the back i can feel the seat moving to the beat although i've got tweeters which are £20 on their own (trade price) so the treb is even better lol I got them done in a place in Birmingham called Jam Tech. was going to cost 165 estimate for 6 new speakers (including tweeters). but there were some complications, for example, having to take out the back seats to get to the back panels properly. all including fitting I paid £220. although i got a good deal because I know a friend of the owner. If anyone lives in birmingham or willing to travel here for great service let me know I can give you the address.

I have just had rear speakers fitted in my 57 volkswagen fox!! All the wires were there, but the guys that did it had to take out the BACK SEATS to get to the panels properly!! I can report that now the rear speakers are in, when I press the "balance" button on the standard stereo, it now knows I have rear speakers and I can adjust them as well as the balance. I have also had replacements in the front AND new tweeters. The standard stereo is maxxed on these without breaking them (which is good for me) and it all looks standard until you look in the speakers grills Any questions or comments feel free to post.

haha you gotta spec up your fox. i've got the 1.4 urban with alloys, air con and front fog lights. only car around with a 1.4 engine for less than £10k. well worth it Mine is going in for it's first service in a week. they said it's gonna cost £200 i was like .. uhhhhh okay i guess I gotta look after it.

hey i'm a fox owner lol only 20 years old. it's got to be said I only found this on a very specific google search ...clublupo doesn't shout fox do love the car though. i would hate anything with a tiny engine like a 1.0 litre old polo or a 600cc or whatever they are smart car. 1.4 for me!! paid lots of money for my fox with alloys and stuff

this is a smart car. it will have a 600cc engine. I read it in top gear magazine. Sorry to disappoint.

lol speaking of strange murmur's actually i get one after i use the remote central locking to unlock my car... as soon as i open the driver door i hear something... the sales person that sold me the car said the remote locking would lock the petrol cap... but it doesn't... I thought when i opened the door it would unlock the tank so i could fill it lol.... no idea what it actually is

hey slick i guess you've read the instructions but here goes just in case the bandbreak light can come on if the handbreak is on, or if you have low break fluid or if you have a break fault. it says if the handbreak light and the ABS light come on over 10km/h the rear wheels may lock when you break........ have you taken it to volkswagen for them to look yet??

not me mate :S good luck with it.... but one thing i have had dunno if you have ever heard it... sometimes like... 1 in 20 times when I turn OFF my engine it does a single long beep like 1 second long... i first heard it when i came into a service station too fast on gravel and the ABS kicked in.. turned off my car and heard the beep... but i've had it today just after backing into my drive way.

ohhh yeah i wanted to know how easy it would be to fit a proper 7" screen in the fox i want the sat nav combo it would look so amazing in the car - post pics!!! btw you have too much money ..oh and why did you go for the 1.2 not the 1.4??

Beautiful pictures mate nice work sorry but i have the mp3 function and aux lol. i've never seen "no cd". very strange that they tease you with half of what you need lol..... good luck at the dealer mate - might just be something very simple or they might replace the head unit for you. good luck let us know in a month

Hi ponyremark Good start that you have the aux point in the glove box... I have my ipod plugged in there, i simply use a Male - Male 3.5mm aux cable to connect my ipod to it. Then I just turn my ipod on, turn on the stereo and keep pressing "CD" until it says Aux.... now i do only have to press it once or twice obviously twice if the stereo is set to FM One thing i would try - plug ANY 3.5 aux cable into your glove box thing - make sure it "feels" like it goes in... i'm thinking it might just be a hole if your stereo won't set to Aux - better check!! So to answer question 1, I use the headphone jack on the ipod - seems to work fine. Only thing I have noticed is that I have turn the stereo up more than radio. No problem.

I reckon you can get away with 2 removal keys if but you'll have to be quite careful and probably take a while. I've got the aux on a 57 plate just so you know

I've actually noticed that my lights are very bright up front. I notice that signs road signs are lit up by me. I have a 57 fox also. Has anyone else noticed that the break lights are EXTREMELY bright??? I look in my review mirror and see ALL the signs and number plates behind me are all red!!! not modified!! *edit* if you didn't see my thread, i've got tinted windows and i still light up all the signs and number plates when i break.. so it must be the side lights that are bright and/or the middle break light

haha awesome story mate mod your car so you can tell it's yours :P not many foxes in my area i like to park next to them because i have the urban with alloys (and tinted windows) so it's always better than the one i park next to lol. never seen another modded fox other than on this forum
