  1. HI, been a while since i removed the steering wheel of my car but fiting a new one and cant remember what size sockets i need,can anyone help,i seem to rememeber it being a 20something mm socket but cant be 100%

  3. i relocated my horn and had no mot problems,I put it in the cubby hole above the heater controls and just ran the earth down to there from the steering wheel and used an earth from by the radio
  4. i just take the seats out when i need more space,takes bout 2mins
  5. ive tried that part number on ebay and it looks to be the right one,thanks for that i will get in touch with one of the turbo companies now i have this info and see what they can offer,i was aiming for about 130bhp tbh so not a massive increase just enough to embarass a few bigger cars,also plan on stripping pretty much everything out,weight wise i think a lot of the weight can go from gettin alu panels and plastic windows
  6. Is it not possible to use a g60 clutch with a lupo pressure plate? Gonna get some quotes from a few companies first, tbh mine doesn't really lag as I've got no cat or backbox it spools up from around 1400rpm,just want a bit more power in general, I wanna see how much power is possible from this engine
  7. think im gonna have to go into a dealer to get a part number and description,all the ones ive seen for sale have been seperate to the manifold itself
  8. does anyone know if the manifold and turbo on the tdi's is one piece or does the turbo bolt onto the manfiold,want to get mine sent off for a hybrid turbo but cant find much info on them

  13. Tdi is the way forward,get a scangauge for it too,I have one and its pretty accurate
  14. i got 576 miles out of my last tank in my tdi,averaging 83.5mpg on the motorway for a while,normally stays in the mid to high 70s though,

  16. mines remapped with no cat and back box removed,also with a jetex filter,was rolling roaded at 109hp last time,not bad to say its on 140k miles they feel quick because they are really torquey engines,i rarely change down from 5th to overtake

  18. check if cambelt has been done.think the first one is at 60k so most of the ones available should have had it done. Ive had mine 4 years now and its by far the most reliable car ive owned or driven. I would definately get a remap and good service done when you get it though

  24. wheel looks good ,had my mk6 gti wheel on for a year now and it makes it look a lot newer inside,mine hasnt got the buttons on or paddles
  25. when do people actually just go from 0-60,i bet johns is much quicker than a standard gti overall,as he will have tons more power to pull out of corners and is constantly in the powerband,id still love to have a go in that car
