  1. Hello, So I managed to burst my inner CV joint yesterday on my car, which resulted in losing drive. I have to go get a spline tool to remove it today, and have priced a replacement Inner CV with TPS.... £163! (To put it into perspective I've just bought a run around Audi A4 for £180!) Did a quick search on here for the following part numbers that I have discovered are associated with this part 6N0498103A (possibly superseeded by?...) 6N0498103AX So my question is, is it possible to source one for cheaper? Or do I just bite the bullet and buy it? Has to be ordered too, so won't be until after Christmas till I see it! Cheers Mick
  2. Got my order through there thanks!
  3. Back of the Lupos are very easy to do: 1. Jack up car and support on axle stands at the jacking points. 2. Support the rear beam/axle with a trolley jack. 3. Remove one bolt either side at the bottom of the shock. 4. Lower down the trolley jack until the springs come loose. 5. Reinsert new springs, the right way around and with the correct rubber seating attached (either old one if in good condition or a new one) 6. Raise the jack up supporting the rear axle, making sure that the springs seat correctly where they are suppose to and line up the hole for the shock for the bolt to go back through. 7. Tighten up the bolts and torque to spec (or use the 3 grunt method...) It really is painless, and if the bolts aren't seized should take you no more than ten minutes.
  4. Well mine is needing a new 2nd gear, but bought it knowing that anyway, still goes in to 2nd if you rev match it, however plan on getting it rebuilt in the new year! Haven't seen many people have issues with the gearbox however, maybe it was the was the previous owners used it? Who knows!
  5. Good stuff, looking forward to seeing the pictures!
  6. Impressive miles! Lets hope mine gets to that! Shame really, some people don't understand the necessity to replace parts etc on these high mileage cars!
  7. I'll take 1 please, can PayPal you whenever!
  8. What price you be looking for your steering wheel and what condition is it in?
  9. Price on the steering wheel, condition and is it leather or not? Thanks Mick
  10. Just have a question for you as I might be ordering AP's in the future, are they a one spring setup, or a coil spring and a helper spring? Appreciate your response. Mick
  11. I had 160k on my Arosa 1.4 TDi, which had been well maintained from new before I sold it, was still running sweet! And still got great MPG in my eyes, considering it was only really driven short journeys when cold!
  12. Car looks well, fair play for putting it back to standard!
  13. Like i said before, you'll be lucky to get over £1k selling it as is, would maybe get more for it breaking and selling it. But again that presents a lot more hassle for yourself! I'm only new here, but Rich's offer seems very reasonable considering, if I was closer to yourself, I'd be offering similar money to him for it.
  14. These cars seem to hold their money well, however £2k in my opinion is still a bit steep for it. Personally a car with that sort of issues on it would struggle to sell over here for anything more than a grand. Have you considered an auction at all?
  15. That's different, but fair play to you for giving it a go! Love the wheels!
  16. Ant0889 - The seats in it had seat covers on them and below them were absolutely boggin, the previous owner said he bought the covers after it was in the mechanics and came back stinking.. But after a lot of scrubbing and wet vaccing they've came up really well! I'll get a thread up soon for it and have the seats in it
  17. Hello, Joined this forum back in the day when I was considering buying a Lupo/Arosa, and only now have I actually bought one! Mainly will be used as a daily/runabout to keep the miles off my other car, picked up cheap enough from a couple who owned the car for 11 years, the car is mechanically fantastic, however it has suffered very badly from lacquer peal over the years. I will be looking a bit into this to see if I can combat it, or if it'll be a respray job (which is the more likely option) Was considering buying coilovers and wheels for this, however will see how it goes as like I say it's only going to be used as a daily driver. Wee picture of the car first of all: Thanks for looking! Mick
  18. Photoshop at a wee rate mate.

Have been looking at both, but they never seem to come up in the Autotrader/eBay across this side of the water. Only one for sale in the whole of N.I. is a 1.7 SDi at the minute :/
  20. Brilliant project mate, really is a credit to you.

Hello there, just thought I'd pop in here and say Hello! I'm Mick, and I'm from Ballymena in Northern Ireland. Basically I'm on the lookout for a first car for me, and Lupo's have become very appealing to me! I've been looking about for quite a while on this site, just thought I'd make myself known! Lupo's seem to be pretty scarce this side of the water unfortunately, but hopefully will get something sorted for a first car soon. Goodbye for now!
