  1. Technically yes Realistically no
  2. Yup I agree with Dblock re the tyre setup - best tyres on the rear of the car
  3. Some do Matt yes, it's a little black rectangle. Later models use the rice grain one. OP, yes the black plastic keys do have chips, you can start and drive the car as normal. I use mine every day
  4. What tyres are on your car?
  5. How much is it costing you then? (Minus Dblocks tenner of course)
  6. Should I take that as an insult or a compliment? Ha!
  7. New bumper, sill, wheel, tyre, suspension leg, wishbone, cv joint, driveshaft... That's just from that one photograph. Add the airbags etc and it's never getting fixed for a reasonable cost Still, it will teach you to slow down won't it, so not all bad
  8. I'd be having words with whoever reconditioned your gearbox then
  9. Report back after doing the cambelt etc then. I assume you are changing the waterpump and tensioners too?
  10. What do you expect to gain from doing this?
  11. That will immune ate a fault light, try cleaning it first, guide in the how to section
  12. I've had this issue in my VX, involved being upside down, legs in the air and head in the footwell with a tub of lithium grease dripping in my face! If you start doing yoga now you may be able to bend appropriately to fold yourself into a Lupo footwell
  13. Standard fronts, I bought them to use as an interim but never ended getting mine refurbed. I never fitted them but they came straight off a car that had been rear ended, so should be fine, been wrapped in newspaper since ha!
  14. Could be tricky to trace the problem here to be honest! May be worth getting an auto electrician to take a look, may be a lot quicker and cheaper in the long run
  15. Silver, I have a set of GTI fronts in the shed doing nothing if you want them
  16. It doesn't, however it also doesn't have headlights designed for HIDs, so please reconsider. Ring +120% bulbs will give you a huge improvement
  17. I have a cable if you can download it
  18. If you put them on using the stalk does pressing the brake,do anythng?
  19. Haha sorry but that's quite funny. Stalks can be temperamental, never heard of this though. Does it do it when you apply the brakes when stationary?
  20. It's not just about removing the gas as quickly as possible, it's very technical with pulsing and scavenging and stuff. http://www.autozine.org/technical_school/engine/Intake_exhaust.html#Variable-exhaust On a turbo engine yes, it's all about peak flow, but not on an NA
  21. Buy a new pair, any Phillips or Osram ones will be perfect. I imagine they will be mega expensive from VW I think they are D2S: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/d2s-xenon-hid-bulbs/
