  2. The turbo is slightly softer and slightly heavier, but is considerably faster is a straight line. You can supercharge the 2.2 to 250bhp reasonably easily, which is always an option. Difficult to justify that level of power/weight on a road car though
  3. Car parts 4 less It's the same company as euro car parts, but pre discounted for your convenience. The stuff even has ecp stickers on!
  4. I've never got the whole stretched tyre thing I'd be much more impressed by a set of PS3s
  5. I have a 1.4 Sport, and whilst it is capable of 45mpg, it involves drafting trucks at 56mph and using minute amounts to throttle opening. Driving normally it gets around 35, which is about the same as my VX220. I often question why I keep it ha!
  6. Is Polish powder coating different from English powder coating?
  7. Yes, and get it to illuminate the oil pressure light, will be nice and stressful for whoever buys the car off you
  8. Is the RAC van yours or are your cars just catastrophically unreliable?
  9. Wouldn't that affect it before it warmed up though too?
  10. Could be one of a number of things, none near the gearbox though! Plugs/leads/coil pack/throttle body/EGR/temp sensor Any other symptoms?
  11. It will look gash though
  12. Unlikely. I can't think of anything with a higher bhp/litre though

  15. The differences between the 75bhp and 100bhp engines are Stronger pistons Different cylinder head with larger intake and exhaust ducts Different camshaft timing Different throttle body Different exhaust system Aluminium sump Different software including ability to advance ignition timing for 98ron fuel Gearbox is also different.
  16. TDIs and GTIs are not affected
  17. He had better come back, he owes you a tenner
  18. Your coolant temp sensor is knackered, so it's pouring fuel in like there is no tomorrow. This is very likely to be your issue.
  19. Either you drive like a complete numpty or something is broken. Checked the brakes aren't binding and the tyre pressures are correct first off. Does your temp gauge work properly Does the car have any mods?
  20. The temp gauge should stay dead on 90, does your fluctuate? If it does change the temp sensor
  21. I think his brother bought it off him, but that was a few years ago and I don't think it's been seen since - certainly worth a look when it comes up for sale!
