I can see by the end of this year all diesel lupo/arosa’s will now shoot up in value. Did they ever do a Arosa Sdi I wonder?

Always got a search going on eBay for curiosity more than anything but the amount of Lupo GTIs on this week is eight!! They really are common as muck and I’ve seen so many of the last year which surprises me as you would have thought they would have been far and few between.

I’m glad they are upping in value as most people just aren’t aware how good both of the diesel models are

My first thoughts are also electrical, maybe the weight of the engine tugging on a block connector more one way than the other?

After having ’Rossa’ (my tdi arosa) on the ramp for summat I noticed lhs anti Roll bar subframe mount torn away. Has this happened to others on here? I’m running a gti ARB and I wonder if the subframe is beefed up more on those models?

I used to use a ‘V‘ shape foldable device that clamps onto the tow ball. No pressure on the tailgate. Held two mtb bikes.

I love foreign breakers yards as they are just like ours from the seventies and eighties and are real goldmines.

I did see the car in the flesh yesterday, it was quite interesting how the rear arches were shot as it was quite a lot different to how mine were rusting as I’ve just repaired and I noticed my ‘Rossa’ **** guards are minimalist and therefore don’t hold the crud the Lupo’s do.

Re-corners, actually quite easy to make but I always use the original shape to work round. To reproduce them one needs a wooden ‘plug’ to work over. on another note, the sill I made was around 1.1-1.2 mm thick so it’s better than std as std is .9mm aprox.

Yes coating is guesswork. I etch and weld through. Cavity’s take planning when body waxing. I leave gaps to inject then hope it doesn’t go off like a grenade when I cap them 🙄🤣🤣

Well I’ve an off side sill that needs attention so I’ve just knocked one together out of 1.2mm sheet. I’ve been putting this off as I know it’ll get involved and some people ‘lose’ the car from these repairs. Ive ripped into it and noticed my front wing lower is rotten and also osr wheelarch is dead so the mini repair begins…

So looking around for a decent stainless exhaust I’ve found absolutely nothing. I’m going to price quality components up then consider making one. It will be as close to oem std not an ugly big bore system. If there’s enough interest I’ll duplicate and make several more. Let me know if anyone wants them.

Well, I’ve just ordered a pair for my Rossa. These are the second set in two years as one has failed out of the first set. Bit of a long story so I’ll keep it short, the ones I got originally were offset and the ones I got today were identical sides and moto quip VSJ720. What should they really be from original?

I’m too far away but I would have had the arosa Alloys.
