  1. yes like that above, thats exactly what i would be after. i prefer oval really but want to stay original. I had a custom stainless made for my TDI and it wasnt too horribly expensive so its probably the route i will go with the GTI
  2. i asked recently as we deal with Milltek at work, they said no I want a cat back for my GTI standard looking tail pipes, i havnt found any other decent systems for the GTI out there
  3. I had a bad rattle for ages, i replaced the dog bone mount and it cured alot of it. I still get a rattle but the car has done 180k so you expect a bit on a TDI
  4. I had a full stainless made up for my TDI last year, cost me about 300 quid and is awesome, the workmanship is brilliant and it was made onto the car so is an exact fit
  5. My TDI is just about to tick over to 180k had it since 24k, 11 years, My GTI is on 83K
  6. Left for no central locking 6X2-837-013/G right is 6X2-837-014/G You dont need a reg or chassis as non central locking ones as all the same unless you are LHD
  7. My last coils came from ebay. cant fault them they are the best cheap coils ive ever run.. Got some KWs to fit when i have time though
  8. Well we also have an audi a5, T5 transporter, i have a mk2 and an R32 so get asked why we need them all alot LOL. Also because the plates are H13 LPO and H13 UPO i get asked if ive swapped the plate or sold the TDI. The TDI i bought 11 years ago its always been my daily and on 179k the GTI was bought last year as the other half fell in love with my lupo and decided he wanted one but it had to be raven, then took about 8 months to find the right one I personally prefer driving the TDI, i had a stainless exhaust a replica of the original fitted last year and because mine was lowing so bad the car is an absolute dream to drive now. I find the GTI very different to drive.
  9. Mostly i drive my TDI anthracite grey. I do Bexhill to Shoreham each day so get around in it. The raven needs a few bits of work, nothing major just isnt quite up to scratch in my book but the TDI will get its respray first. You should bring it to some local meets, There is a few vw groups on facebook down here
  10. Currently got a sony Its an older version of one of these http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car-stereos/sony-cdx-g3100uv-car-stereo But ive been through another 1 in the 11 years ive had it which was a JVC IIRC
  11. I have a headunit, OEM front speakers and a small sub in the back. Kinda evens it out well without having to build somewhere to fit speakers in the back. I didnt want to cut them in anywhere
  12. what engine are you as 13s wont go over some brakes. i have a TDI and can only run 14 upwards
  13. cool, ive only ever seen another raven once on the a27 between polegate and Lewes so that must have been you
  14. Ive lived down here all my life, In Ringmer since the age of 14. Not in Ringmer now but there alot due to family
  15. before it was put on the KWs and the roof and bike rack put on
  16. That would be me. I also have a grey TDI H13 LPO My mum lives there, Never seen another raven around there though and lived there 15 years
  17. My GTI has air con :-) i find even for tall people the lupo is all cool, its surprisingly roomy inside
  18. I have the same antracite TDI owned since 2005, 2.5 years old i got it at with 24k, its now got 178k, full history etc etc, they just keep on going. I have no air con or sunroof though, i feel left out lol I would say around 3ono with that mileage also, i wouldnt hesitate to buy another. they are pretty sought after still.
  19. They are just really bumpy and when running low jus scrub, on my GTI i have KWs and they are mega low tucking the wheels, no scrubbing whatsoever, even over bumps. I have another set of the above wheels in the same spec that i am selling if you are on a low budget. I bought 2 sets to make a staggered set i wanted.
  20. What are the offsets on them? 7.5j should be fine, I have run 8j no probs and no poke, Its down to the offset on them. that will also be why your having to run a spacer as the offset they have wont clear your brakes
  21. I guess it would help, Mine are not rolled so i cant comment, wanted to keep the bodywork standard on it. Hence not running silly low here is mine as it sits, I have got new KW coilovers to go on as mine are cheap and cheap and lows dont go well together.
  22. I am running 7x15 up front ET37 and 8x15 at the rear, ET45 with a 20mm spacer, No issues but i am also not mega low these days. The rear equates to the same as what you are looking to buy so they will fit but i think on the front they could be a bit tight and poss give you issues on full lock
  23. I will 100% be doing a 280mm conversion at some point. The TDI brrakes though i cant fault, but then it doesnt have the top end speed. It took 8 months of hunting for our GTI as we wanted un modified and raven blue, low miles, eventually one came up with 79K which is quite low for the year and all paperwork to back up the history, one owner for the past 9 odd years in raven and with air con. It does need a few tiny bodywork issues sorted and was missing its alloy bonnet but for the price we paid i cannot complain. If you wait long enough the right colour/spec you want will come up
