I don't think factory nav was a UK option
Wasn't it?
I know you didn't get climate control, ESP or the glovebox but I would have thought all the rest was available.

Yep I agree although I am not keen on the non standard roof aerial and I am not sure the Eagle F1 tyres are the correct size. The hunt continues.
Aerial is standard for cars that came with a factory fitted sat-nav.

It's never easy to try and get everything perfect, but you'll get there
I'm looking forward to some progress pictures and hope you'll have it ready for summer - mine just got the summer tires on!

Any progress?

Sorry to bring up this topic after a while of inactivity. Hope this message gets to you.
I’m picking up a GTI in a couple weeks and my current Lupo has a set of starlites that I’d like to use as a winter wheel.
how did the GTI run on 14s, how much space was there between the alloy and the break discs, and did you use spacers, if so what size?
many thanks dude. Clean car!
Excuse my late answer, I've been off the forum for a while!
GTi runs well on 14s, no problem whatsoever (tyre size in my case is 185/55/14).
No spacers needed for Starlites

Aren't you all supposed to drive Lamborghinis in Bologna?
Welcome and make sure to show us the progress!
-
Looks like you'll be able to enjoy it during the summer!
-
Breaking a GTi to put parts into a 1.0 should be illegal.
Don't be THAT person.

5w40 will be fine.
As said, once you change the coilpack and all the leads / plugs you should be fine. I went with OEM coilpack and leads, and NGK plugs, never misses a beat!
Also, bienvenido

Always loved that shade of green

Why don't you turn your headlights on?

How's it being reported in Spain @Blue Loop? My guess it must be headline news.
Sorry, i've been off the forum for a while.
It's been on the news non-stop since day one. Apparently they're still expecting more lava to come out as it's still quite active. More than 2000 buildings have been reported destroyed... We'll see when it stops and what can be done about it, it's a real shame for those people.

It's a shame it's a bit far for me to go... but it looks like you had a great time!

Looks more like silver if you compare it to the van in the last picture.
Good to know it was saved- 1
