  1. I had this same problem. ABS light would flash/Parking light indicator would flash and sound/power steering would randomly pack in/speedo starts whizzing all over the place. Finally got fed up when one morning it just wouldn't start. VW recovered it and the battery was completely flat (nothing had been left on). They replaced the battery - under warranty - but the new battery wouldn't hold its charge. They sent off reports to VW UK as they couldn't locate where the drain was coming from. Finally found out there was a naked section of wire in the passenger door or one that ran under that space I cant remember exactly. Anyways, since then I've had no problems. Touch wood!

  2. When I first took delivery of my Urban Fox (brand new) the cap was sitting proud so obviously I wasn't going to let them get away with it. Took over 2 months to sort. Something to do with them having to order a completely new part on back order? Think it was just bad workmanship anyway.....

    Hi to all the foxesssss

    :)

  4. I went at the weekend at Freshwater on the Isle of Wight.... I wasn't really looking forward to it as not really a fan of cold water... I grin and bear it for wake boarding, which is fine in my wet suit as i don't really get that wet.... The thought of 1hr 30 mins in and out of cold sea water with ****ty hire wet suits was off putting... some of my mates sat it out... There were 14 of us in the end... The guys running it where great fun easy going types, which helped as I am not so confident with heights and they got me jumping off things i wouldn't believed I would have done.... We also did some swim throughs which were actually very difficult as you had to hold you breath and time breaths between waves... Only three of us did the difficult swim through which, with my free diving training i found very easy... but a few of my friends got stuck and had to be pulled out... I think being smaller helped me too...

    £25 well spent....

It a great way to see the coast line and the water was crystal clear... We were very lucky with the weather too... I can recommend it... But its not for girls!

This is the place we did it...

Cheeky! Me and a few mates go to Anglesey at some point every year, do loads of coasteering there..such a laugh! So i'd go as far as saying it isn't for pussy's  but not neccessarily girls!!!

  5. For 10k I would definitely buy a suzuki swift 1.5 GLX. (9k inc air con/alloys/fogs) Much better car all round than the fox and doesn't depreciate anywhere near as bad neither.

There are cons with every car you buy, so i reckon f**k it, as long as you like your own car who caressssss?!!

P.S. I know you're just comparing cars in terms of value B)

  6. The first lightweight wheel suitable for race and track use from Wolfrace - now available in Matt Black with a Red lip.

    The full list of weights is;

    15x6.5 - from 6.2kg

    17x7.0 - from 7.8kg

    Four stud fitments.

In addition to the Black/Machined finish pictured, the Pro-Lite will be available in a range of colours consisting of Shadow Chrome, Silver, Matt Black, Gloss Titanium, Urban Titanium and White. BMW Mini specific colours will also be available later this year. The Pro-Lite is being tested and developed by a well known team of race experts and We're hoping to use the wheel in a race formula in the near future.

    The Fox is 5 stud :( :(

  7. I did my loop last wkend there - using a hair dryer on full warming the strips bit by bit, and then using a cable tie to grip onto and pulling the strip off towards me - It took very long but worked bettter than i thought it would. Tho left with two strips of glue which I was able to peel off (with time and dedication lol) still needs a bit of work but a careful tad of white-spirit does the job.

Paint coming off shouldn't be an issue - 'as long as it hasnt been resprayed before - i.e the colour variation behind the strip which would leave 2 big noticeable lines obv or if the strips have been re-glued without being done carefully.

Apart from that I reckon should be sweet - was kinda time consuming for me tho. - Hope this helps B)

Nice one, thanks a lot :)

  9. Having all of these bits added meant that i actually had to wait four months for the car to get here from south america. The dealer did try to find me one in the UK but they are rare with those items fitted, more common in europe

Tell me about it! Ordered mine end of March last year, didn't actually get it till mid July! Cause i ordered side airbags of all things..

  10. what did you get to make up for the space where the original headunit was?

You just need a single din pocket. Dead cheap and you'll find your local ICE store has loads lying about, no need for a fascia or anything!

  11. Pics of my Fox seeing as there's only a few people that have made a thread on theirs..nothing special done to it atm, slow but steady process haha! I'll update it regularly, or as quick as my wages come in!
