Has a few stonechips in the usual places , bumper and rear arches. Its very enjoyable to drive and it surprisingly fast with the stage 2 mapping. Its been regularly polished and waxed using expensive dodo juice products and always run on premium fuels. This is my old car! was always reliable when i had it! Miss it tbh

I moved from a gti to an r26 and i love the r26 but would probably go back to a gti. but mine had so much done to it id want all the stuff i had before. P.s if you sell the r26r wheels let me know!

thats what going on clublupo on my phone does lol! They fitted coilovers, arb, short-shifter, manifold and exhaust. also did all servicing

I had alot of work done at jabba on my lupo and know alot of people with their maps. Cant recommend them enough

If anyones interested i have a set of black compomotive mo's i dont need anymore! perfect offset for a lupo. 15x7 et 35 they have pretty good 205/45/15 tyres but are in need of a refurb as they have alot of brake dust on them which i cant get off. just want rid so offers

the 26r is a lovely car just so expensive at the moment!

It just felt the best all round package. the others just seemed heavy and wallowy. i have my car for fun and track days and a van for work and the megane was the most fun. coming from a gti with kw v2s arb's and poly bushes the others just seemed unstable cornering and not as planted. with the megane the handling is very good standard and that combined with the lsd makes it a great drive

The range is very confusing. its an r26 f1 lol. the slightly older models are just f1 not r26 so dont have the lsd. Paid £9250 for it with 30k on the clock. which i think was a good price but i had to travel a long way for it. I compared it to pretty much everything in the same sorta class and my budget. mk5 gti, focus st, astra vxr also a clio 200 but felt that was lacking a little power

After owning my gti for nearly 3 years and doing 45k in it it was time for something different. just sold mine on nearly 115k. still going very strong. took it to nurburgring this year. 15 laps in the low 9 mins and got it home no problems. never used any oil either

not really. i used a black and decker workmate with 2 blocks of wood between it on mine lol. old ones are a pain to get out!

ye a friend has one. nice car but needs a few power mods! and some dif seats lol. ill ask him for a drive see what its like! no views on the megane?

ive driven an astra and wasnt that impressed tbh. fast yes. but not much else. but i am comparing it with my lupo for handling which is gonna be hard to beat! and have looked at 182s etc but want something that bit newer. and yes its kinda a daily. i wont drive it to work but will be using it for getting around as well as track days etc

the 200 is out of budget really. would only be able to afford a 197. astra doesnt have the handling i want. focus i do want to test drive and i dont like m5's unless they are ed30s which is again out of budget. The vx220 is tempting but heard the n/a's have a few problems? love the cars a friend has a turbo lovely car just a pain to get in and out

i would love an evo or an m series bmw. but insurance is a no. dont need a roof and could have 2 seats. economy would be nice to have 30mpg ish on a run!

Im currently looking for a new car for occasional track days and nurburgring trips. want something quicker than my current car (lupo gti) and something that also handles well. My budget is around £10k and ive been looking at the megane sport r26 which i think fits the bill quite well. Any suggestions of other cars or opinions of the meganes? Needs to be something not to bad on insurance as im only 21 cheers Dan

mine also has a green cap i had a leak but it was as the pipe connected to one side had split

agreed there had the 1.2 as a courtesey car. a wheelspin is definately an acheivement. very underpowered car!
