  2. dont go to R-Tech, take a nice drive and bring it to us at Garage Midnight. We are in london, but will get you running sweet! build is aweosme! its made us think again about a 20vt build!
  3. shame about the times dude! should definitely be in the 13's! What plans have you got. a wavetrac LSD will sort you out! Let me know if you're interested and we'll sort you out

  7. stereo is all we have done and all we are doing. theres nothing we could do to improve this car!
  8. 80% of the 3L is different to normal Lupos!!! 80%!!!!! i keep finding new bits that are different! on saturday i noticed that the seats mount differently! THEY CHANGED THE SEAT MOUNTS because they could save 0.3kg!!!??? hahahah! ITS GENIUS!
  9. no, side repeaters are in the wrong place
  10. Since I now have a 3L that can be driven when i need to drive a car this project is going full retard! They were wrong when they said NEVER go full retard! so seat mounts got welded in. and Obviously seat fitted Harness bar is next, along with a lighter seat for the passenger side, minimal electrics, including no heating or stereo, and lot more weight reduction from the body. A fair amount of work needs doing on the sub frame and suspension set up. Rear brakes are all new, but fronts are still to be decided on. wheels will be staying, for now, but an upgrade in tyres is also on the cards. I do still have Oscar to deal with, so that will be taking most of my time and money, but its all fun and games and i'm in no rush to get either of them 'finished'. any progress is good progress i say! Oh and one more very exciting bit... Taboo wraps are going to be wrapping this little shitter in some of their glorious vinyl. something fresh and bright is needed for 2013. stand by for some team colours and livery! will update soon!

  19. Kenwood very kindly gave us a double din headunit for the 3L
  20. We didn't want to see it go to someone who wouldn't look after it. This thing deserves to be preserved! Until the engine dies of course so we had to have it straight away!
  21. Hello all. You may remember me from topics such as 'how much wood can a wood chuck chuck', and 'DirtyRedBaron project RACEKOR' well its my pleasure to now bring to you 'Project 3L the TDi' When Ryan decided to go all out Bat **** on his golf, he needed a daily. started looking at lupo gti's, then tdi's and then stumbled across this on these here very classified ads. Within minutes of finding it he text me asking if i wanted to buy a 3L with him. Silly question really! So my money was sent over to his bank and that very night he got a lift and picked the beaut up! To see it in our yard is something super exciting! Havent got too many pictures just yet, but heres a couple to keep us going. Those of you that are in the know about these amazing machines will I'm sure know how incredibly efficient and ahead of their time they were! Just driving this makes me giddy! One of the rarest cars on the UK roads, and not a single person bats an eyelid when driving round central London! PERFECT!!!!! not to mention the number plate L30PUL thanks. I'll get some more pics this weekend
  22. took me a while to do it, but id rather learn how to do something than pay someone to do it
