If i was you I would just buy a Lupo bumper from a scrappy and get it painted. That way you also lose the Arosa rubbing strips and reflectors making it look smoother in the process!

It rolling jumps no problem, I'm going to borrow a set of jump leads and see if it jumps off my Bug. If so then I can rul out any starting gear issues all together. I'll bump start it and take it to an auto electrician to see if its charging ok and to test the battery with a drop test. I've only got a multimeter and its ok on that, Thanks

Maybe I'm not sure, the guys on Seatcupra.net think it might be the Ignition switch. Apparently a common problem?

Hi, just bought an Arosa off ebay for £500. Its a bit rough but drives fine! I bought it so I dont have to run my 240bhp Beetle Turbo to work and back all winter. I'm going to mod it slightly I reckon so any free or cheap bits let me know, I dont want to spend much though as its not really worth it. Also my Mrs will kill me as Ive spent so much on my Bug!

Hiya, Just purchased a 1.0 Arosa today. Its the poverty spec Stella model from 1998. It ran fine on the test drive but when i got it home and turned it off it now wont start. When I turn the key it tries to turn but wont fire and there is a clicking noise coming from around the steering column area I've checked the battery, charged it up, ran a tester on it, 12.7v seems fine. and still nothing any ideas?
