    TDi Information?

Not sure what the blue is called but its very pale blue, looks white at first glance! they are quite rare! I might have to put up with what I can find for reasonable cash then, looks like i'm after one of the rarest ones ever made! lol
  2. Guys, looking for some info What year did they stop selling the TDI Arosa? Also was the TDI ever available in that light duck egg blue colour? And were the TDI's only available with the light grey seats? I like the 53-54 plate ones as they have a much nicer black trim Thanks!
  3. Am I missing something here? The Pirelli editions are yellow and one of the coolest things about them is they have P slot wheels, this doesnt have them! Also it says "fahrenheit" on the back so why would anyone think its a pirelli?

    MK1 vs. MK2

and interior seat trims, new dash, different alloys or trims depending on model. I think all the engines are identical and the only addition was the TDI, you cant get mk1 versions of them
  5. Yeah thats really dodgy! If you contact him I bet he will say he is in the forces abroad and the car is ready to be shipped back to the UK in a container, payment in Western union only! I'll have the 14k RS4 cab please! Seriously though i saw on TV a woman ripped off like that on Ebay, She paid 8k for a new mitsubishi warrior by cheque. The cheque was cashed and guess what? The Warrior never arrived at Southampton port as promised!
  6. Mines called Toot, my mrs named it because its a noddy car!

    US look

I'm sure they were available in Japan though so you could source Jap spec bumpers and you would have the short plate recesses sorted, just add running lights and loads of neuspeed grafix!
  8. I have to disagree on the fabs having a poor interior. Its much better built than an ibiza and a polo
  9. If you fancy driving to Telford there is an alloy manufacturer called KN wheels that will do a full refurb for £100 a set in silver and £125 a set in white, grey or gold.
  10. I love the way how he says he did it to be individual! I see more Corsas kitted like that with lexus lights than I see standard ones these days! They all see to have the same kit, rear lights and cheapo wheels with a 35mm offset that dont really fit the 49mm needed on a corsa!
  11. I have to agree, the Polo is lame compared to the Ibiza, 15k for a 150bhp GTI when you can get a 180bhp Cupra for 2 grand less that looks far sexier The new Leons are much more stylish than the Mk5 Golf and even look at the Touran, a bland square box compared to the Altea. The Alfa designer that penned the range needs to move to VW!
  12. Somethimes i think walking is quicker than my 1.0 Arosa! When i drive my Beetle at the weekends it feels like a rocket ship in comparison!
  13. Cheers for the info, I'll start taking it apart as soon as i go fetch some carb cleaner!
  14. Yeah i've been told to do this by someone else too, Do you know if it is an easy strip down?
  15. Guys, does the 1.0 have an idle control valve somewhere? Mine can be erratic sometimes and occasioanlly stalls! Thanks
  16. I live in Telford so no problems with rooms for me! I'm on an outside stand with my Bug, Only 4 places for our club inside and i was beaten! My Arosa will just have to rust away on the car park
  17. My Mk1 Arosa has plenty of rust on both rear arches "Nova style" Its also showing plenty of rust around the petrol cap and a few stone chips above the windscreen have gone bad too. In fact its a nail! The roof gutters are clean though!
  18. My base is ok on the Arosa but fell off on my beetle!
  19. Why did you decide to follow it? Sounds a bit weird to me! There are plenty of Lupos about, do you follow them all? And I thought us beetle drivers were weird waving at each other!
  20. 1.4 TDI is much better. The SDi is a seriously old design and not up to modern standards. Its a tough old unit though and eady to work on! The Lupo is not worth the extra cash at all, they arent built any better. Also I think the Mk2 Arosa is much better looking than the Loop! Some people will disagree i'm sure
  21. I'm already there on the EVVO stand with my bug. I live in Telford too so its really handy!
  22. Midland VW are excellent, They did a shed load of work on my Bug and charged me next to nothing. The guys really know there stuff. The clutch was going on my Aunts Mk4 Golf GTI, VW said it was a special clutch (inc flywheel or something) and would cost £1000 to repair. Midland VW said that was a popular ploy and they very rarely need the whole lot doing. Cost £300 all done with them Been going there ever since
  23. Great, I hardly fit in the back as it is, that should be fun tomorrow!
  24. I have no CL on my arosa so i have to open the boot with the key. I did this today and it wont unlock. Key turns as normal but handle flaps about. How do i get it open now? Crow bar? lol

    Mirror Cover

I lost my drivers side mirror cover. (Its the plain black one) SEAT say there are 2 part numbers, for 2 different sizes. Both sizes the parts guy gave me dont seem to match. My mirrors are both the same size so i'm guessing its the larger of the 2. My brothers Golf and moms Bora have a smaller one on the passenger side. Anyone shed some light on this? They are only £14 but he wants prepayment and I dont fancy chancing it!
