  1. Pull up the leather gaitor as high it will go, you will see a metal ring around the plastic shaft. These are one use only clips so you will need a hacksaw to saw it it off or attack it with some pliers. Once that is removed pull the lot off. Fold back the gaitor again and unclip the gaitor from the original knob. Re assemble using the method that is used for your aftermarket item, usually just an allen key or in some cases brute force and some glue.
  2. I've got a bra on my bug and its caused more damage due to rubbing than leaving it off and picking up the odd stone chip. Its in the bin now
  3. SEAT quoted £22 for the normal Arosa gearknob and £75 for the Sport one (Only diff is leather) Got the £25 Lupo sport one, exactly the same as pics above, fits a treat. Very pleased with it.
  4. No been fiddling all day and decided to leave it before i kill someone! I cant get the bulb out, cant find anything to grip it, long nose pliers just slide off, so do tweezers! I'm scared to squeeze too hard as it my crush the bulb, any ideas?
  5. Cool thanks I'll try it. The arosa has different knobs to the Lupo but in principle the idea should be the same I reckon
  6. On the Mk2 I am assuming there should be lights for the heater controls? Mine dont seem to be working, I assume bulb failure so do you just pull the control panel off an change? Also does the headlight switch light up because thats not working neither! Cheers Lee
  7. Excellent mate thanks, looks much better than the Arosa one and matches the handbrake a lot better too I'll be ordering tomorrow!
  8. still not working! Just copy the IMG bit into the place where you type, no need to add links or anything like that
  9. Did that price include the gaitor? To put pics up just copy the IMG line under the pic in your photobucket account into your reply, should show fine
  10. Guys, just bought another Arosa, this time a mk2 and the gear knob is wrecked. I'm going OEM with the replacement so is the sport one nicer? The standard Lupo one seems ok to me but heard the Arosa sport has a nice one, got any pics? Also anyone know the price as my dealer is shut today!
  11. Looks fine to me! But if you have a change of heart I have a full set of 4 door strips brand new in standard black if you wanted them.
  12. Sure will, they are 5x100 the same fitment
  13. They look great, I bought a set off the bay for my beetle. Direct fit in the bug so no worries!
  14. Must have been this one, It was for sale in Norwich! It was too far for me to go and buy it!
  15. Do you do proper detailing then or are you just a valeter? been thinking of getting my bug done for a while now. Not many people round here doing it and i notice your in willenhall, just down the road! Most places i speak to dont seem to know what i'm on about, they just offer to polish it for £50! I can polish it myself thanks! What I need is a full clay bar, mop, sealant jobbie!
  16. I've had in 10 years mk2 Polo Coupe S Mk2 Golf 1.3 mk2 Golf Driver mk3 Golf 1.8SE Mk4 Polo 1.4CL Ford Mondeo ST24 Seat Cordoba Sx 2.0 16v coupe Yaris T sport Suzuki Ignis Sport Beetle 1.8 Turbo (still have it as a drive ornament) Arosa 1.0 Of all the VAG cars i've had, all have been pretty useless and unreliable. My fave was the Yaris TS but the Suzuki Ignis sport is a seriously underated machine. I'l probably replace the runaround Arosa with another yaris.

    light buzzer.

My Arosa is fine but my old Mk4 Polo died in the same way you describe, never bothered repairing so no idea sorry!
  18. Sounds like mine, its got mayo in the cap (although at 115k) and the big dent is in the door, not in the wing! £400 is a bit harsh, maybe £500!

    Arosa Sport

Wow that comment stinks of a current Dub scene preacher at the moment. Its comments like that that really annoy me and its that sort of thinking that ruins the scene. I suppose the only way to modify it would be to add coilovers and some little wide BBS rims would it??? YAWN! All been seen and heard before and a little dull Now go and find that roof rack for you mk1 Polo and put a cool box on top, very 2007!

I think it would look much better with the rub strips removed and a light smoke tint all round on the windows

    Arosa Sport

Yeah its on Autotrader but its a private ad now, a few months back it was at a dealer. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with it!

This belong to anyone on here? Looks a nice example, rareish spec too with the full MS design kit and SEAT sport OZ rims. Only 47k on it too. £3495 sound about right?

    TDi Information?

Yeah I have noticed. Dont mind travelling to be honest, especially to get the right car. All the high mileage ones I have seen seem to have really tatty interiors, that light grey holds up pretty poorly if not looked after. I may give up and just get a 1.4 TDI Polo, much easier to find!
