  5. I had an unfortunate accident several months ago when I collided with a steriod taking badger!! I have recently taken some photos, and would like some opinions on the air intakes (i.e Black or Chrome). I have made some additional changes this time when smoothing. Before hitting Mr. Badger. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> After hitting Mr. Badger. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> After re-smoothing (Bloody De Jar Voux!). But this time I have taken all join lines between upper and lower out and smoothed trim lines. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  6. Ray, its a perfect fit. I just trimmed a little off the plastic dash (about 1", all hidden). All holes are as they should be and match up fine, here is a piccie of it fitted. All I have to do now is change the cup holder nearest the driver into one of them trays/coin holder thingys border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />
  7. Luke it all depends on your DIY skills. This is what I did with mine, the first piccy is the only one I have of the panel fitted. Mark border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />
  8. I'll take some within the next couple of days.
  9. That would have been my option if mine were slipping, but fortunately mine doesn't slip at the mo.. Keep us posted tho Al

    tdi boost.

    Dont Superchips just do a generic remap, whereby Jabba do a custom re-map? Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />
  11. If you uprate your clutch to 225mm there is no room in the bell housing to accomodate the size increase of the over-sized flywheel, allbeit 10mm.?? You will also have issues with starter motor pinion engagement too! I'm just guessing here!! Mark

    tdi boost.

    I'll second that!!
  13. LOVE CUPRA R!! Don't do it...too much lag!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  14. My advise for what it's worth, is do what you want to do. I have never been one of those sheep that follow other peoples ideas or comments. If you like it , go for it!!! Personally I love it!! I have recently just finished re-doing my front end, and I'm sure it too will stir some contreversey. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Go for it bud! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  15. Nice motor mate, but hey it's not all bad.....at least you have a Seat!! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shades:" border="0" alt="shades.gif" />
  16. Spot-on, but when you pull it off remember your number plate lamp connectors need to be disconnected. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  17. The front poly bush is in two halves so you put one half into either side then push the centre steel shroud into the centre (the tube that the bolt passes through) this is done by hand, but the big bush requires pressing into the wishbone and both old bushes need to pressed out of the wishbone. Mark style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  18. Dave, I so love those wheels!! They'd be my choice too, car looks absolutely pukka matey. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> Out of curiosity how wide are those rims and what ET are they Dave??
  19. Part Numbers: 6NO411329 Bushes x4 that basically sandwich the wishbone by means of the droplink £1.15 each 6XO411313A Antiroll bar bushes x2 (22mm - GTi) £5.25 And for those that may be interested: GTi Antiroll bar 6NO411309F (22mm) GTi Antirollbar Droplinks 6NO411315D (GTi 22mm) I fitted a new GTi ARB on my TDi and powerflex bushed everything making everything really tight. Also replaced both lower ball joints whilst I had everything apart, defo makes a big difference. 20. Many many years ago when I was doing my Ford apprentiship I used to rally a 2.1 Pinto'd MK 1 Escort (Showing my age now!?). Anyhow we were at Epynt in South Wales doing the Merlin Fireplaces rally when I nearly Poo Pooh'd myself. To cut a long story short I went out in the pace car with Dennis Moody which was a RS200 (which was kicking out in the region of 720BHP). That car was the fastest thing that I have ever been in in my life and it was a ride I will never ever forget, cos he scared me silly. None of the cars on that days ralling came close to our pace time bytheway, and there were 6R4s and allsorts out there. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Mark
  21. TBH until I saw this thread I didn't even know that there was a cup holder that bolted underneath.
  22. There are 4 actually, but I have a feeling that the rear two are redundant Mike. I'm an engineer by trade, so I'm sure I can make it fit one way or another. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  23. Yeah cheers for that Mike, no hurry bud. You can see from my photo where my card holder is, I'm hoping it will fit in its place. Mark
