Thanks, is there just one relay behind the fuse box ? if so which ne is it? is there any way of testing of is it cheap enough to replace?

any ideas on the fuses on the battery one was blown 20A it says in the hand book cooler 1 whatever that is?

thanks for your replies the glow plugs have not been changed to my knowledge it generally stars ok just cust out every now and then once it cuts out it wont restart right away otherwisestarting is fine hot or cold. a vw garage has checked for fault codes and none came up

Hope someone in lupoland can help My daughter has a lupo 1.7 SDI with 136000 miles i has recently developed a coule of problems (possbly related) when driving along sometimes the glow plug light will flash when this happens the car jolts as if the brakes have been applied sharply. it has also started cutting out andrefusing to start for a few minutes the glow plug lightdoes not come on when this happens any ideas would be a great help can anyone tell me what the 4 blade fuses on the battery are for thanks

Changed the oil , adjusted the clutch and linkage a bit ....... sorted

I have the same problem wont go into 1st all other gears are fine , no noises either this seems pretty common has anyone found a cure?????
