Cheers Pete Had a great weekend this weekend with Players Classic on Saturday and Bristol Volksfest today. We were lucky enough to pick up a Top 25 award at Players Classic and I can't express how chuffed I am especially seeing the quality of the others who picked up awards. Here's a few pics from Goodwood, I'll get Bristol's snaps up later this week once I've processed them. Bra'd up ready to head home but couldn't resist a reflection shot. And the trophy

You tart. Looks awesome mate, nice touch with the stitching.

Mmmmmmm! Yes! -
Ours is black but with white flowers. It had white schmidts and black and white leather interior.
-
Yeah we were there last year. We'll be in the "other" category again I would imagine.
-
I'll be over in the show and shine. It's black on some polished splits.
-
Bristol? I'll be there.
-
Cheers Alex Definitely. I think there's Volksfest Wales that weekend too so may go straight from Combe and camp ready for the Sunday.

This thread needs more pics!

You can get microfibre dusters but if I'm honest, I'd be reluctant to use them continuously. Is the dust just day to day gathering or does the car sit in a gargae for prolonged periods?
-
Thanks guys, means alot! It's taken a lot of effort this year as we seem to keep having problem after problem - wheels, tyres, brakes, carbon. Thankfully the wheels seem to be sorted, and the brakes and carbon will be soon. There've been a few evenings where I've considered packing it in but thankfully I'm too stubborn lol.

Top bombing. It's looking awesome! -
Spent a bit of time on the car today and finally got around to fitting the Porsche brakes I've had sat in a box for the last 18 months. On the plus side, they were a doddle to fit. Unfortunately there's a clearance issue with the wheels so I need to order some spacers before refitting Also fitted a new chrome light switch which looks 10x better than the tired stock one. And a few shots after a little spruce up.

Good save I always describe them as a Split D90. Funny you should say that about the Mk2, I was thinking it last night too.
-
Thanks guys. :-D still not sure on the front stretch so toying with running a 195/40 and camber instead of a 165/40.
-
Yes it was mate. We were running on the Bathursts for the day though as the wheels aren't quite ready.
-
All a bit slow on the progress, work is crazy and we've had a couple of weeks away so not had much time on the car. We finally got around to doing a trial fit last weekend. And some little interior additions.

Change from five stud wheels to four stud.

Adapters? -
Thanks mate. It wont be fitted for a few weeks yet but I can't wait either. Here's another mod we've been working on. The control surrounds have been painted white to match the interior with the lower section in black with red lettering.
-
Cheers guys. Yeah it's real carbon overlaid over the original parts.

And the main piece...

Dont bother spending your money on any "swirl removers" unless you're going to machine polish it. You can get some products with fillers that will mask the marks a little but you're better off machine polishing if the marks are bothering you.

Cheers mate It's slowly coming together. Here's a little teaser of what's to come this weekend....
