thought i'd bump the thread before it diseappears into extinction nothing to report really, car and my bank balance took an 18month holiday from each other So only a small few updates, split my 2 front wheels, shortened the bolts, got shallower nuts and washers and removed the gaskets, first time splitting and rebuilding wheels so im quite chuffed to report they are holding air and im now down from using 9mill spacers to 5mm from this to still not happy but its better than it was Also started on building a false floor, figured i may as well seeing as though the rear seats were useless anyway pics fof progress so far and hopefully if carpet arrives tomorrow i shall get it finished over the weekend Getting a few bits of paint tidied up next month and all going well she shall be over for edition, my fear of her has gone and im now excited about getting out driving it again

using a pliers will be fine, same happened mine, get a new lever from a scrappy or only a couple quid from a dealers

I got my lupo from south Wales, so it involved, a plane, a train and a ferry to bring it home

Mitch just wanna say a huge congrats on getting the car finished for Edition, its a credit to you and looks awesome truly awesome and i dont say that about many cars i think a shout out should prob be giving to Nicola for having the patience to put up with the build well done you two a job very well done

any update on the trimmer since the weekend

this is the one and only car im excited about seeing at edition this year - you had better not disappoint and not have it ready or there will be no baked goods in the post for you and Nic

will take longer than that im afraid - i got back to light training in the gym and work 6 weeks after surgery im back running and doing all machines again but my knee is still quite week, certain positions i cant do and muscles on top of knee are still slack, and knee is still swollen almost 6 months laterand road running is a no go

what type knee surgery are you having? i had some cartiladge tidied up and the base of my knee cap shaved as it wearing uneven and i walked out of the hospital 5 hours later, thought i would need crutches but didnt, limped badly for first 2 weeks then gradually got better on topic edition rock on, already started pricing ferries over for it

Havent updated this in a while - since the above pics its had some paint tidied up, new headlights and indicators momo team 280mm and carbon fibre door trims which i bought off Mark Had some mechanical issues with thermostat housing and oil pressure switch and now have a few niggles with egr valve but nothing major Anyway heres some pics iv robbed from people from UD and Dubshed at the weekend UD started off on the hard shoulder a few times over heating door trims and heres some from Dubshed and my trophy which i was chuffed to bits with getting No real plans for immediate future as im completely skint balls from ferries and paint and getting it fixed etc plus for once i think i might actually spend some money on something other than the car so next thing is just smaller dishes on the front so i can get it lower and sitting better, interior and engine will wait

how the hell can you think that no rave tent = cheaper or less security? seriously wtf - the tent will be there just no rave music just a more chilled out vibe - didnt know rave music cost more and security is needed regardless with what has looked like increasing crowds every year its obvious more security would be needed

put a few thousand people into a field with beer and music and there are bound to be issues big changes are been made this year and im think it will overcome the issues from last year i will go again but wont camp as i dont trust my car on site after someone scuffed my bonnet - i dont blame anyone as someone obv just fell over when drunk or whatever but this year to avoid it i'll be parking it at hotel the weekend is what you make of it yourself - at the end of the day its a car show, yes it has got a reputation for a rave on the saturday but no rave tent this year so hopefully it will go back to its roots and chilled out fun times

I would say no to a certain extent Iv only had the Lupo out a couple of times since getting fresh paint and already i have stone chips - for it to be a proper show car id need to have full bra on the whole time and even then id still get stone chips as sometimes they cant be avoided thats only one thing but it will get points deducted from the paint category when been judged

yea as above, mine was used from an old caddy pics of it now during after when on english plates and now

oil light kept coming on and off mine too even with pletny of oil in it, brought it to a mechanic at the weekend and pressure tested the pump and its fine so in the end it was just the oil switch can check the oil switch yourself if you see some traces of oil in it its most likely it as it will have covered the earth and no longer making connection so the car thinks it has no pressure and light keeps coming on hope you get it sorted and it isnt the oil pump

oh dear with my luck im not fancying trying to remove it then only just had a new screen fitted after respray and dont have windscreen cover on my policy so will just have to stick with the grey one for now thanks for the help everyone

the tt one fits the lupo base but is of no use as its practically facing towards the roof is it difficult to take the base off windscreen or what sort of sticky stuff do you need to get a mirror back on - apologies for the stupid question

i have one out of a tt but id need to change the base and tbh im looking for an easier exchange Emma do you know if they came black just on sport models or all arosa's

oh deary me iv been mis informed hypothetically speaking if that were to happen do people who have paid their premiums in full by cheque or bank draft etc are they entitled for refund or is it just a case of tough titty? I paid my depoist with laser card but have a DD set up monthly with them

i just renewed my car insurance with them 2 weeks ago and also have my health insurance with them im not worried tbh - in the unlikely they go bust under the law they will have to transfer the insruance to another company so as to keep you insured they cant just saw right ok from tomorrow no more insurance Im genuinely hope it dont go bust as nearly 6k are employed by him
