  2. Nice Skoda Fabia in the background
  3. I like Emz,Sealy & Jowey' Arosa's Hard to choose just one
  4. Not good dude, have you serviced your lupo, I could be as Darren has said, a slight miss fire! Hope you get it sorted!
  5. Majeed- Have you adjusted the clutch cable, it might be stretched! If thats okay then it can only be the gearbox I'm afraid! It sounds like how mine was before I got it rebuilt! Consider a rebuild, might be cheaper than a second hand box and at least you know it will be okay after! Willy- Get it rebuilt mate, as above at least you know it will be reliable! Refer to first post, that will give you all the symptons!
  6. Cheers Darren darling Its not a misfire because there is no loss of power at all, pretty certian its the dual mass flywheel
  7. Having a bit of a problem with my Skoda Fabia, Under acceleration you can feel a vibration through the accelerator pedal. It's more apparent over 3000 rpm. Sometimes its so bad you can feel it through the floor. There is no noise to go with the vibration which is odd. I think its either dual mass flywheel or a clutch fault but as I have never felt anything like this even when I was a technican. Its the 1.4 16v 100 bhp engine (same as the Lupo/Arosa so I assume the clutch and flywheel set up is the same. Can anyone confirm the fault or have had a similar problem? Thanks in advance! Luke
  8. Got it in one haha, not the best gearboxes ever, as for a driveshaft ebay is the way forward or a post in the wanted section on here
  9. That's not a bad price, just make sure your getting a 1.6 box as the linkage is totally different! is yours a 5 or 6 speed? Just if its a 5 speed I would think that the internals would be similar to a 1.4 box so the price would be roughly the same
  10. One of my good friends had this with their 1.4 lupo, it turned out to be two broken followers and it was partly due to not being serviced regularly, the oil ways up to the head were blocked up with gunky old oil, the followers replaced and the engine flushed sorted the problem!
  11. Can it not be rebuilt? When mine was whining it was a "dog gear" problem aswell as the diff!
  12. Sorry dude, have not looked at this thread for a while! Have you got it sorted?
  13. The steering wheel is looking good Emz! Love the sill trims too, have you fitted them yet?
  14. Cheers dude, its getting there! I brought the badges off ebay very cheap put they are well made and look good! No more mods planed at the moment as I'm happy with the way it is looking! Just a few bits and bobs to tidy up so this will be the last update for a while, plan is to just keep it clean and do more shows with it next year! Hopefully the next major mod will be the engine conversion, now is a good time to start thinking about it as I dont't need it (because I have the Caddy now).
  15. Well I managed to get out and give the Arosa a quick wipe over today and take some pictures! As you can tell by the brake discs its not moved for a while (3 weeks to be exact!) Only little modification is that I have replaced the Team Dynamics center cap stickers with some Seat ones but as we say all the little mods make a difference That is all for now!
  16. Just thought I would update the thread a little. As most of you all ready know so idiot drove into the side of the Arosa in mid September resulting in the following damage: It was borderline right off but due to the condition of the car and the fact that I pleaded to the garage and the insurance company not right it off the repairs were approved and off it went to the body shop! Got this one pic of the repairs taking place at the body shop: It was back from the body shop in a couple of weeks, they had trouble matching the paint so it would have been back sooner but it was worth the wait! They did a fantastic job and the paint match is spot on! It now has a rear bumper the same color as the rest of the car too :D they also repaired the two damaged wheels too so now all my wheels are in as new condition!!!! happy days! A couple of little mods coming up hopefully this week so when there done will get some new pics up of her with the new paint That is all for now Luke
  17. No idea mate! Just sounded funny haha
  18. I run Shell V-Power in the Arosa, not noticed any real performance gains but as 99hjhm has said it feels a bit better from cold! Its also a better burn and better for the engine and I have noticed increased fuel economy!
  19. Not really dude! VAG COM is what you need or take it into a VW Dealer but you don't want to do that as it will be costly!
  20. Well just an update, Have now fixed the problem! I took the throttle body off the inlet manafold and gave it a full clean opening the throttle butterfly and cleaning everything, then once it was refitted I reset the the throttle body using vag com, basically restoring factory settings and its fixed the problem! Good times
  21. Cheers Guys, it's not the throttle body as I service it every 5000 miles and I clean the throttle body every time! I will hopefully get it on Vag-Com (VCDS) tomorrow!
