hello, im having problems with my car heater. its stuck blowing out hot air even with the dials set to cold. originally when i bought the car the heater control only turned from cold to about half way around, so i had very little heat, but it seemed to control the heat in the way one would expect, cold was cold, and as far as i could turn the dial i'd get some heat. i investigated the control panel and found some of the plastic moulding was broken and it had been bodged back together by someone in the cars past. instead of bodging again i opted for a new control panel which i installed without problem, but now i only get hot air no matter the settings. obviously im not a mechanic so i may be over looking something vital. i've seen online that it can be caused by a bend in the metal cables that connect the controls, but they all seem fine. i'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips on what to look at next. i dont believe its anything to do with the car radiator or thermostat, as the change was instant after me removing and reinstalling the bodged control panel. i refitted the bodged one while waiting for the new one. thanks.
