I done a couple more bits to my loop today..
Removed the chrome 'Lupo 1.4 16v' badges (if anybody wants those let me know)
And I took the VW badges off, painted them black and whacked em back on.. I'm not convinced on the rear badge, I don't know if tinting the lights will make it look better, I'm going to do them anyway, but I may take the badge off completely and smooth it..
I may also have a go at smoking the front lights soon..
Opinion on the rear please

Oh I see, and yes it is unfortunately the 75bhp Lupo.. Same size discs as the Mk2 Golf GTi then.. Maybe I just buy some performance discs and pads..

What size brake discs does a Lupo 1.4 16v E have?
I want to upgrade an I have a set of mk2 Golf Gti Carriers and Calipers off my old Golf kicking around doing nothing.. May aswell put em to good use being as my Lupo brakes are crap!

I was just going to get 50mm springs for now, then upgrade to coilovers when money is flowing quicker! But if the springs are ok I'll keep them..

I was wondering if anybody has upgraded their handbrake and gear nob in their Lupo?
I have a nice chrome nob and handle (ooer) but I found with my Mk4 20vT that the buggers wouldn't come off.. In fact when I tried to unscrew the nob I broke it off and had to superglue it back on! hehe

I went from a Mk4 Golf 20vT to a Lupo 1.4 16v E
It's got no electric goodies and no sunroof, but I am pleased as punch with mine, and don't miss the Golf one bit as the Lupo is cheap as chips to run and not so common and wikid to mod.. Also quite nippy and sounds quite meaty compared to the golf!
In my opinion you won't be dissapointed.

Yeah.. Brakes are being done on Friday and tax due at end of the month so dropping it next month.. Time goes by so slowly!

It turned out that I didn't need me hair dryer after all! But the sun being out for more than an hour helped me thinks! I managed to compound the crap off and left a little bit of sticky rubber on there..
Any clues on how to get that off?
I also discovered that my Lupo has had a prang at some point because there is an indent of orange peel around the passenger side one from when it was just probably masked over 'tut'
*Tip* anybody wanting to remove them then thinking 'oh I don't want to now' half way through, you can't put them back on as they are made sturdy with steel strips and bend out of shape..

Blimey, that's a lot of fuss for the little beast! My mk2 & mk4 Golfs were just.. Unclip old one, clip new one back! hehe
I may just make the badge black for now..

I want some of those metal german plates for my Lupo, where's the best and cheapest place to get them?

I know nothing... Apart from I love'd that Lupo, but probably mostly for the 1.8vT conversion.. But like others have said, I'd change a couple of things, all down to personal taste
Has anybody on here done the 1.8vT conversion?

Sorry to butt in on your thread but.. How do you get the old grill off? I had a lok and it loks as though I have to take off the whole bumper because it's attatched to the indicators.. ??

Thanx! Yeah the tyres do look a bit ballon like, they are 50 profile which will have to do for now, will get some springs for it soon.. Not seen another fantasia green Lupo in my area, I hope I don't, I like being different! hehe Oh and I may have a go at getting those side strips off today, better get me hair dryer & white spirit out..

What a wikid idea! I don't live newar any fellow 'clublupo' owners but I do see Lupo's on the odd occassion and I looooove takin pics of my car, what an excuse! hehe
In fact, I think I'll go lupo hunting this eve.. Do you lot have flyers to hand around? If so send me some!
