  1. Why cant you use the new injection after swap? Why should they be same?
  2. You can use any screw if you can understand meaning of the number on bolt head.
  3. Can you explain the meaning of has just gone? It is actually simple mechanism, you can lift boot to check whats wrong, but must remove the center console to repair it. There are several topics where mk2 and also I explain a lot about bushes and adjusting.
  4. Should stay on, that’s normal. My Lupo drained battery after more than month.
  5. Lupo rear axle beam isn’t usually called subframe. 7zap is really the best source for online ETKA.
  6. If you have the broken part removed, somewhere on part are always visible part number. You can see part number location in picture below, but its resolution is too low to read it. Just google the part number and buy new part, or ask your local store for this item.
  7. Thank You both, this came out as a very interesting topic, and I also didnt know the wear limit, thats very useful information.
  8. Was Lupo available with leather interior? I have never seen that. Also I googled “lupo leather interior” and I saw only custom made interiors.
  9. Hi! Can you write down oe code from the broken part?
  10. Do anyone know if 44kw 1.4 petrol engine will be able to pull 120A alternator or not? I have 80A alternator without damper pulley, maintaince coasts more than this upgrade. 120A alternators have damper pulleys, which will remove some load from engine.
  11. In few photos the MB looks twice as wide as Lupo.
  12. Wow, that looks serious, I cant name what it is without seeing front or back. Is that blue primer after soda or sand blasting? Would be cool (and expensive, and a lot of paperwork) to make it electric.
  13. You will need whats called "full swap" - engine, wiring, gearbox, all pipes, ecu. Not as hard as turbo swap, but it takes nerve to swap to another engine. I just removed my engine by just lifting engine and gearbox with jack and holding them with hands.
  14. My engine suddenly stopped on road, the starter was not able to crank. I was able to push/pull start the car and managed to drive it home. Had very high oil pressure in valve breather(pipe was blown off and oil was being poured on exhaust manifold), also oil came out of dip stick hose when i removed dip stick. I will search for more causes after I will pressure wash the engine.
  15. Dont know about NAPA or drexler, but what are the signs of shot shocks?
  16. PCV valve is secondary thing, actually it's made for high RPM's and it should block the crankcase breather pipes on idle, If PCV and crankcase breather systems are the fault you can bypass all the PCV valve section, by blocking hole in your throtthle body, then your engine will run fine with crankcase breather blowing straight inside oil catch can or in air filter box.
  17. There should be no vacuum leaks after throttle. If everything is correct, nothing should happen, but I advice to clean the breather pipes and check for cracks anyway.
  18. Lupo models don't have no V engines with two banks, its actaully bank 1 sensor 2. Cool explaination! 2nd sensor checks if your cat is working and turn your engine in emergency mode if faulty sensor or cat is detected, is the 1st or 2nd o2 sensor doing all the clever part?
  19. Hi! Do you have check engine light on? It is very simple engine, check if throttle is closed when idle, and then, if throttle is correct, search for vacuum leaks. You can try to remove crankcase breather pipe/s from throttle body and block it, your finger can do the job well enough to check if thats cause.
  20. Clean crankcase breather. Also check if the replaced wires arent bad qualitty, I have replaced 3 sets, and the 3rd was fine after some diy upgrade with sealant on distributor connection part. Recently noticed OEM cables have the upgrade from factory, circled in picture. Also check if the lenght of rubber sleeve, pointed in bottom of picture, isnt too short, it can also cause misfires. These are oem look how long the sleeves are, like maximum possible lenght.
  21. Not enough current, faulty ignition should not affect other electric systems in your car.
  22. The OEM part number is 1J3837069B and it is the same as Lupo. Again, thank You for great pictures! I like how truck bed in second picture is the same size as whole Lupo. Is your Lupo pre-heatable with electricity?
  23. Looks great! R14 ATS cup rims? Is the black part of rear bumper painted?
