  1. not many scrapyards round my way with Lupo parts im afraid, normally loads of fords, vauxhalls etc. Ive tried ebay and two people have already sold the part. Thanks for the reply
  2. Hi guys, its been a long time since ive been on here, but as you were always so helpful i am back in the hope of some more help!! Unfortunately being the idiot that I am I had a small accident last friday and have caused some damage to my car. I have bought a new indicator, however I need the plastic surround that the indicators fit into and this is broken (Lupo Sport). If anyone could help or point me in the right direction I would be extremely greatful. Cheers, Keith
  3. Ahh it could be the exhaust mate, my mechanic did tell me there was a suspect part last year but it passed mot. Thanks for your input! Have a good xmas
  4. Hello all Hoping someone might know what this is....ive noticed lately that when i first start driving my car in the morning (cold start) it makes a kind of owl noise? I live right next to a dual carridgeway and as soon as i strt doing 40mph+ it starts making the noise. I though it could either be a cold seal that is not sealing properly due to it being cold or perhaps a wheel bearing or 2? Any ideas? Cheers guys and girls
  5. I think some of the comments on here have been a little harsh. You obviously would do something differently (like hiding your keys under the mattress) if you somehow *by magic* knew that someone was going to take your car and crash it. Secondly, if you knew your retard of a "mate" was going to hang himself out of the window *by magic* then you wouldn't have taken him in your car! To be honest, im sure you will be more careful in the future and im sure you've already learnt your lesson. Best of luck for your next test dude.
  6. Got my cambelt, tensioners & water pump changed at 60k. It cost about £250 i think, got it done at a local garage.
  7. Also try Elephant, you can get a quote on their site and can pick your mods from a list. They've been best price for me for a few years...1.4 Sport, 2 years no claims 22, but with an accident witihin the last 3 years (makes a big difference) £650.
  8. Try searching google for a Clio forum mate! Good luck
  9. Sounds pretty good to me! Unfortunately 90% of my driving is in town but if I have to drive a long distance I will give that a go
  10. I dont know what the MPG is for my sport but i get around 200 miles to a full tank of petrol. I think at the end of the day the conclusion is the Sport engine is not the most economical unless driven at a constant 60mph....which could be a little difficult
  11. Cleaning it is easy, you would be able to do this yourself. Just take the air filter & housing off and you will see the throttle body (round thing). Buy some Carb/Throttle body cleaner from halfords and it tells you what to do on the can! Literally just spray the carb cleaner into the throttle body in short sprays while the engine is turning over, get someone else to rev the engine slightly so the throttle body moves while you are spraying. Takes a minute, then turn the engine off, put all the filter & housing back on and should be fine!

  13. At the end of the day mate if you like it when its lowered and you think it looks cool, then thats all that matters. Great set of wheels and nice car, hopefully you will be able to modify the fox to accomodate for the larger wheels.
  14. Check the gearchange. If the clutch pedal is well below the brake pedal before any force is put upon it to change gear then this usually means the pedal box has gone. Pedal boxes are not majorly expensive but are a pain in the a** to fit. Test all gears to see if they all drive ok, 1.4 Lupo gearboxes are unfortunately weak, although if an 80 year old lady has been pottering about in it, I would assume it should be ok. To be honest a car with such low mileage shouldnt really have many issues, but its best to be cautious! Good luck!
  15. If you have a BMC kit on it could be your throttle body as previously mentioned (easy to clean). However I had a problem a while back where my car cut out a few times and I found out that where I had fitted the BMC I had kinked the Crankshaft breather tube, which caused the car to cut out... Got my dad to look at it and he immediately said this could have been the cause....so may be worth a look in! Otherwise could be coil pack or lambda sensor? good luck!
