  1. I'm selling on my yellow 02 plate SDI, as i haven't the time to put it right. I've had it for a year, the gearbox has been overhauled six months back (i have an invoice for this), but the selector mechanism has become faulty, i now struggle to select anything other than 1st, or 3rd. Body is fairly clean, though a bump strip is loose and a sill is dented. The colour burns my eyes but it is what it is. The interior has had dogs in the rear on folded down seats so you might prefer to clean it if intending to put back on the road. The MOT is short, around 4 weeks left, although it has done few miles since the last test. Seems a shame to scrap it with a good gearbox/ clutch in the car, could just as easily be made into a cheap runner or robbed for the box. I need something that won't need my time and attention over the winter, so this has to go. £300 o.n.o. for quick sale. Can just about drive it onto a low loader. I've got a blue 'donor' car on a 51 plate going for £150, around 70k miles, with a mint engine etc. Many of the gearbox internals were used by the specialist to rebuild the first, so this one is a rolling shell. Time to clear the yard. Happy to share pics with interested buyers. 07956671882.
  2. A pretty bog standard two tank set up is the plan. Nothing out of the ordinary bar a proper strip down and renewal of anything that may benefit from it.
  3. No thanks. I've used SDi's quite successfully before.
  4. I'm looking for an SDi for a renewable energy project. We're planning an eventual move to a smallholding where we'll be sowing a few acres of oil crops each year on rotation. The car will be subject to any and all remedial work, nut and bolt if need be, any body treatment (waxoyl etc.) to preserve her and be used with a twin tank system for plant oils. It'll be nursed until I'm old! 1.4 tdi and common rail aren't suitable for this of course. It is something that is obviously possible with other select vehicles and I've done these successfully, but the Lupo/ Arosa at low tax and fuel consumption is the one for us in the high mileages, long journeys and A road speeds we'll be doing.
  5. Thanks but I'm specifically after an SDi. I won't bore you with the reason why!
  6. I'll keep my eyes out but won't hold my breath. It's a matter of trust going half way across the country for something that is getting hard to find in decent order. I did Nottingham to Taunton early last year to buy an Iveco bus. Fortunately that one was there as promised (and as described).
  7. Well I found the forum you suggested Mark. I can't believe you've gone and done that. If you can't take a man at his word. Well. Good Friday plans cancelled and a non refundable train fare wasted for that. Unbelievable.
  8. Please give this a bump for any running SDi's available. No distance to far for the right car. 👍 No timewasters please, I've just wasted a train fare for 150 miles on an agreement that evaporated before collection tommorow.
