For the same work you can have Mk5 GTi seats.

I already have the seats but just want to know if people make them fit with the rails or weld lupo runners on

It wouldn't be that...... based on what exactly? How is he flashing the ECU? If he's using the OBD2 port, it will be using the K-Line. Fact.

Don't know mate he just looked at me like it was a stupid Idea, taking it to someone today will provabky just disconnect my radio and see if it works

Yes, it could be. Those aftermarket looms are a minefield. Some re-route the K-Line into 12v which causes absolute chaos for scan tools, some route it to ground which simply results in no comms. The scan tool pulls the K-Line to ground so either of those two scenarios can cause problems. If it's not that, then another module is jamming up your K-Line. Radio is your best place to start though.

I had similar trying to get vcds to link up, tried different interfaces and software etc, nothing worked. Then found this:

    http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/aftermarket-radio.html

The aftermarket stereo, or more specifically the aftermarket wiring harness had put 12v onto the K-Line and was stopping the interface connecting up. Disconnected the stereo wiring harness and it all connected up fine.

Thanks for that guys I did mention it to the garage but he said it wouldn't be that. Taking it somewhere else tomorrow so hopefully all goes well.

    approx 7.5 gal tank, but 260 / 7.5 = about 35mpg.

Mine does about 360 on short journeys = 48mpg. (60+mpg when i do long runs).

Duff temp sensor means it runs a cold richer map and apart from clogged air filter, binding brakes, soggy tyres, fuel leaks, injector seal leak (rising oil level) is the most likely suspect.

Will look into it later thanks mate

  5. I had an average of just under 10mpg on my way to work this morning and was doing 40mph most the way driving sensible. Any ideas why it's so bad? Had it carbon cleaned last week and it's not remapped yet also got egr blank. Help please

The bags you get for a lupo are much of a muchness really, sleeves at the back and ‘burger’ type at the front. The thing that seems to make the most difference I’ve found is the size of lines you use, but that’s mainly for speed of raising. You’ll be hard pushed to find any noticeable difference between them in terms of ride quality, because that’s dependant on the inflated state of the bag itself, you’ll be paying more of a premium for quality of materials.

When I search on eBay I can't find just the bags it's always with the management.  I'm guessing bigger air lines are quicker raising?

It’s getting them to work with the car that’d be the issue, sure pressure only reading ones can be a little hit and miss, but for the most part they are perfectly fine and it also saves on cost and fault finding down the line.

I ran the v2 set up on my daily old mk4 anni and even with slight reading variances it never looked or drove funny. It’s never going to be off by THAT much.

As for bags I’d be happy to just get them off eBay, already listed for the job and 9 out of 10 times they’re coming from the eBay account of an actual air ride distributor anyways, not just some bloke in a shed importing them in cheap from Romania.

So get a kit from airlift then get some bags off eBay? Would they handle the same as a better make bag?

Why not go for the 3p? Or the v2? Regardless, that’s just management, they’d inflate a paddling pool if you strapped one to an airline coming out of the manifold.

As long as you can find a set of bags to run safely in each corner then the management will do the rest.

I like the sound of the height sensors.

I wouldn't know what bags to get. Been told ocd can supply bags to fit.

I’ve seen loads of high spec track cars running air set ups. Just saying....

That's what I want to hear😂I want air so bad but get a lot of mixed opinions on it. Some people love it others hate it same as anything. If I were to get it I would go for something like the Air lift performance 3H kit. But I've been told air lift don't do bags for the lupo so wouldn't know where to start
