Yeh thats what was happening...........is it usual for idle to be below 1k? Wonder if it just needs cleaning then.....its due a service so will have it checked out then if it doesnt pack in in the meantime

When starting the car this morning things started as normal but then the revs started going up and down on their own. Thought it was probably something to do with the cold and so attempted to drive off as normal, but the car kept stalling. After a couple of attempts at setting off and it subsequently stalling I managed to get going but everytime I stopped at traffic lights or whatever the revs dropped below 1k and I had to blip the throttle to stop it from stalling. Seems to be ok after a bit of a drive. Anyone else experience this at all? Any reason to think its anything serious?? Could just be my car having a hissy fit as its gone past the 100,000 mark today!!

Same here I thought it would be at least 4 times that amount. You'll have to let us know if you feel any improvement with the new cat once its on, as it may be a worthwhile upgrade rather than going down the decat route!

Would have thought so as thats what a high flow sports cat is from what I remember. How much is the new cat costing ya?

There's an option of acquiring some wheels and there are a few different available fitments as follows.......... 5 x 100, 6.5J with an offset of ET42; the 5 x 112 has a few variants... 6.5J with ET50 or 6.5J or 7J with an offset of ET46 Now my question is, which of these would fit best on a GTI....with adapters of course, and what size adapters would be needed?? Cheers!

Im also interested in this too as ive been looking at some wheels but they're 5x112 and couldnt find anywhere for adapters

Cambridge rears as previously mentioned, electric window switches, rear spoiler brakelight, aero wipers.............so a general discount would probably be better! Wicked idea........nice one!
