trying to fit a omex revlimiter

Hi i have a 2000 1.0 mpi polo. I have got a single coil omex rev limiter but i cannot seem to get it to work. Been looking for wire diagrams as i have 2 green 1 black and 1 brown. The omex says to wire the red to the positive which i thought was brown on the coil. Blue to the negative also thought was black on the coil and black from omex is earth. However i still cant get it to work have i got the wires wrong? Has anyone fitted one before?
