  13. The S2000 has just reached 37,000 miles. I was starting to fall out of love and get a little bit bored of the rattling hardtop, the twitchy handling on bumpy roads and needing new tyres and brakes all round. For me swapping cars out for something else has always been a big expense so I decided to spend a little bit of time and money on the Honda to see if I could get all the issues sorted and fall back in love. First off the hardtop has never been rattle free and was the most annoying thing about the car in the winter months. I love the look of the hardtop, the extra warmth and sound installation however as its basically a big bit of alloy and glass clipped to the car it would rattle and squeak over every bump. The guy I purchased the hardtop off a couple of years ago fitted the brackets and roof for me. I decided to give it ago myself as it couldn't get any worse. With the help of a couple of mates, we took the brackets off realigned everything and silicone greased all the rubber seals. Amazing difference... Its like a proper coupe now! And has less rattles than my friends audi tt!!! This took less than an hour. With this success I decided to get all the brakes sorted and some rear tyres on the back. I also put the stock anti roll bar back in as the uprated cusco bar was very firm and although the cornering was better the miss match with the rear on anything but a smooth bump free road added other handling issues. The car was booked into Wheels in Motion and for £100 did a full geo set up on the car and corrected the previous **** job done by a car tyre place. The car is perfect now... Rattle free and I am back in LOVE with the S2000. Cleaned Hardtop refit and some fun in the car park on old tyres Ducati 749R Update.... I have planned some winter work to the bike, there will be some lovely bits going on the bike over the next few months. It's in the parents lounge so I can work with proper light and warmth over the winter months.... This bike is so clean, I doubt its seen a wet road in its life... With the full engine rebuild last year and only 1100 miles since... Its clean enough to eat your dinner off. FOr a 6 year old bike its amazing. I have picked up some nice little bits off ebay. MPL clutch slave cylinder... My last one was damaged so couldn't salvage from the wreck. (Old bike install) Carbon water pump cover
  14. Great news matty.... I look forward to seeing it... I am guessing its black?

  16. Polo Ibiza Fabia Clio 207 need a four door, would like a TDI if poss, my lady friend shall be driving it most of the time. Keeps her out of my car but I wouldn't mind something half decent for road trips etc.
  17. My day started at 8 am with the collection of a short wheel base Ford Transit van from Bournemouth. I then drove back through the New Forest and along the coast to Hastings to collect the bike. Then Hastings back to the New Forest to drop the bike off, before dumping the van back at 530. It was a good few hundred miles in total and very tiring.. Firstly I have never driven a van before and while easy to drive they are so underpowered you spend most of the time accelerating! 1st gear is pointless and very short. I really didn't like pulling out onto round abouts, I decided it was safer to pull away in second as this didn't leave me hanging and the van didn't seem to mind. Hopefully my diesel van driving days are over because it's a nightmare. So this year the bike is stashed at the parents so I can work in the warmth. No cold fingers for me! The room doesn't get used very much apart from xmas and as you can see is stuck in a time warp from the 80's! My dad put up a little resistance to having a bike in the house but after he saw it all neat and tidy he hasn't mentioned it since. Spec. 2004 Carbon 749R. (Only 110 of these came to England of 500 made worldwide) quite a rare bike and as I have personally written off one there are now only 499 possible bikes! 3695 Miles Full Engine rebuild by G-Tech Titanium Piston, Conrods and valves. 57MM Termignoni Exhaust Pazzo Levers Sargent Seat Double Bubble Screen Carbon Hugger. Quick Release Fuel Cap Michelin Race Tyres. Slipper Clutch Ohlins Front and rear suspension Ohlins Steering Damper Stuff to buy. Heat reflective foil and Exhaust wrap. 18. If I was buying I would be sticking to around the 20k mark and looking for a minter with low miles. The black one has hardly any miles on it. I would rather a low mint car than a modded 25000 miler. You will be more than happy with it! It's a great great car out the box! I doubt you will lose much on it. when you say tumble! How can one of these tumble when it's only £20k. Thats not big money for people interested in these. Yes the geo was dangerously out. I had no tread on the back tires and hit some water at 95 on the motorway... the side to side motion all most had me in the crash barriers. It was only then I had a look at the rear tyres and although evenly worn had no tread left... I replaced them 5 months ago. I have a 5k limit, so looking at Seat Ibiza 1.4, Pug 207, fiesta etc.... I want low miles cheap to run.
  19. I think that's the one matty! It looks great in white and a great spec, I am a little suprised they don't have an LSD as standard? I know you have a large budget however is it really worth £5k more than this one? after all 5k is 5k !!!! http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2217018.htm ah looks like all my buying plans are on hold till spring. I am buying a little run around for the girl friend this weekend and got to pick up a new bike so will have two cars to use, bank account emptied On the plus side I have sorted the hardtop on my car which was driving me insane. It has never been this quiet. I also sorted the strange handling, I need to go back for a full geo set up, the problem was the Toe was miles out on the rear so when I hit a bump it steered the back round. I thought it was due to the stiffer anti roll bar on the front so had this removed.
