  1. It's good to have some spares Bikerz... One has been raced prepped with a different valve and piston in and I wanted to try it...
  2. It's off to the bike shop again for some more work for the Duke.... Also have some new master cylinders ( Clutch and Brake) NCR titanium bars New HEL brake lines Gilles Chain adjusters and some titanium goodies going on.... The S2000 has just been serviced and is now prepped for the winter hardtop fitment with new striker plates to keep it rattle free... Also just taxed it with another increase of £20 on last year bringing it up to £445! I pay more road Tax in a year than servicing costs!!! A joke! VRS has a wheel bearing which has become noisey over the last month This hopefully shall be covered under the Skoda 2nd hand car warranty.
  3. Couple of pictures from the DSLR.....
  4. i have so many coats of wax on the s2000 i never had a problem.... paint protection is a good idea....
  5. The BBC should have kept it... anyway thats not the case. So lets see the options. Channel 4 having F1... Give me a break... they couldn't even do cricket...Channel 5... don't have the money to do it either.. I would say they would actually go bust taking on something like F1... I would have no problem with it going back to ITV, I thought they did a good job with it.... It would have been good for them and they have the experience. ESPN? They have the cash but its a subscription channel on top of Sky and not enough platforms.... So realistically then it had to be Sky in the current market. , they have the money to do it well and have much better platforms for the viewer. It would be great to see it in 3D. It's a shame the BBC Decided not to keep it and it's a shame people look at Sky picking it up in a negative way but thats life. I wouldn't be surprised if it even ends up transmitted in 3D in cinema's.... On your Ipad / Iphone or even xbox 360 and PS3... Surely having these options is better for the viewers?
  6. That guy in the Red t shirt could have been killed! Whats the thing the guy picked up off the ground? Looks like a knife of some sorts or a weapon.... I would never get out my car... Road rage is a stupid way to die!
  7. Well You can't blame sky for picking the rights up! BBC could only show 9 or 10 Races because they can't afford it! There is a lot of very creative accounting at the BBC! They could have easily afforded it... Look how much money (BBC world wide) the Commercial side of the BBC makes! Don't buy any of this rubbish that they can't afford it.... They are angling for another license fee increase! http://www.independe...de-2312469.html Now have a think, They are saying they can't afford it... The money is there! They moan they need more money from the license payer! They then use our License fee to make the programmes, magazines and sell programmes around the world for huge profits! Yeah right... they can't afford it people... Open your eyes!!! ''Sales rose by 7.8% to £1.16 billion in the past financial year'' "This was BBC Worldwide's most successful year ever in championing great UK content around the globe." And the highly paid TV stars ''The corporation paid 274 people six figure salaries in 2010/11'' It shows the BBC paid out around £22 million to 19 stars in the top bracket BBC also increased the numbers of talent earning between £250,000 and £499,999 from 26 to 33. The number of people earning between £100,000 and £149,999 rose from 129 to 142. But the total bill for talent came in at £212 million http://www.independe...rs-2312353.html No body makes you have Sky... can't really blame them for picking up the rights now can you...
  8. In a none biased way, I personally can't wait to see what Sky do with it. I wonder if some races will be shown on Sky 3D channel.... I don't actually watch F1 so can't really give an opinion how well the BBC do it, but I wish Sky had actually secured Moto GP off the BBC.... At the moment I have to watch it 1 hour later delayed on Eurosport just because the commentary is so dreadful on the BBC. I'm not too keen on having to pay £190 a year to the Beeb then only show I watch is Top Gear...
  9. My Daily The VRS... Great car... Couldn't be happier with it... Bike has had some more work done to it over the last few months... New carbon seat unit and an uprated Ohlins rear shock. New seat unit. I have removed the mono carbon seat unit and had the real ducati performance seat unit fitted and painted by Altamura... Before New Ohlins rear Shock Titanium Ride Height adjuster will now fit. Longer carbon hugger.. S2000 is approaching 43000 miles.. Still a great car to slip into at the weekend. Especially as the VRS is a little on the rolly side:) It makes me really appreciate the flat cornering and revvy engine, I do sometimes wish the S had the torque of the VRS though. Road trip to south west france

  13. Not platinum, the element you are thinking of is actually a sister metal called Paladium (spelt?) This is often used in the Jewellery trade.
  14. Nah it's a old 306 cabriolet. I have been on at the old dear to sell it for ages pile of ****! I hate pugs
  15. nice motor... is it pretty thirsty on the fuel?
  16. god been on here since 30th may 2002!!!
  17. So today was the first ride since my off last July... It was also the first time I have ridden my new bike.. I am waiting on a couple of little bits to be finished off but its almost there..
  18. Just seen the 500... now thats an interesting engine.... however if i was buying a 500 it would be the abarth....
  19. Damm iPhone. Softtop. If I have a coupe I will get bored and will probably entertain myself using the loud pedal. I wasn't going to mention it but 240bhp on the 245s is about spot on perfect I think. It's very hard to lose traction in the dry unless u are doing something stupid, ie power sliding 80mph into a lamp post isn't much fun is it Crusoe? Ha ha Lucky for u the m3 has some driver aids!! I'm no Alan Prost myself but the one thing riding a bike has taught me is good throttle control and I can honestly say I very rarely get crossed up in the s2000 but I do find it wheels spins a lot on wet greasy roads around London and this chews through Tyres. The s2000 is still quick enough to keep up with an m3 round a track. Yours might have a 100 bhp more but it's a few kgs heavier.
  20. So how u getting on with the M3? I have always fancied one however I always require a s
  21. A lupo Gti first came out 10 years... ago... It wasn't exactly a hot hatch then but to be chucking cars out with 118-134bhp and branding them as quick is a joke...They are far heavier now a days..
  22. Ha thanks Alan!... Bike is almost finished.. Would have taken it for a gentle run this weekend but looks like its next weekend now as it needs taxing and insuring... I like the monster... I had a brand new 1100S for a day and a half... It was great fun and pretty dam quick...
  23. The bike is for very occasionaly use just because they are so foooking dangerous. I have had it since november last year and not even ridden it yet... I drive a Fabia VRS a lot of the time, especially on road trips. But I have to share this.. This car got me looking at a small hatch again. I like the A1 and the Yaris. The hybrid would be my first choice depending on price. I don't want to sell the S2000, its not worth selling.... so decided to put it in the garage this winter and get it sorned... road tax is £415, rear tyres are good for about 6000miles... they wear alot quicker in the winter, its a bit slidey! But a great car to have during the spring summer... I think i can get 10% off and some cash back on Hybrid cars through work... So its the natural choice out of the two.... insurance will be dirt cheap and i wont have to pay congestion charge either... Thats £8 a time... I am guessing there will be little to no road tax... so the running cost will be very low.
