  1. I thought as much it looks a tidy finish. For the sake of some cheap tint film for the rear 3 windows it's probably easier. It's no show pony.
  2. is the sharan badge like an arosa style where you push it in to open the boot? or is it on a popper system? also, what did you use for removal of the glass? Ive got a knackered bootlid with tinted glass. i know they are bonded in, rather than chucking it I wanted to have a go at removing it and re-sealing it in to mine rather than using cheap tint film.
  3. replied on your previous post, is your insurance blackbox? as theyll come out and inspect the vehicle if it is. If its not, i personally wouldn't bother.
  4. up to you. Personally, I wouldn't. If your buying blackbox insurance they may flag those but tints and badges shouldn't really affect your premium as tints can be a factory option. just play dumb in regards to the smoked lights. I wouldn't declare myself but its up to you, it may not cost a lot more to declare for peace of mind.
  5. any suggestions for where to get the 2 stroke from mate? in 20L quantities?
  6. So should I use 1L of 2 stroke and a full tank of SVO (32L to 1L of 2 stroke) and use no diesel? And is that suitable during the colder months or is diesel still advised? Cheers
  7. anyone breaking a sport that would sell a spoiler? thanks
  8. Pd130 i assume? Cheers for that, may have to have a look up on your old post with pics. Got a link by any chance? Bathroom reading haha.
  9. See it's annoying because it's so spontaneous. I drove to work this morning and it didnt happen once. But I drove 30miles yesterday and it happened about 15 times. Putting it up with the passenger side switch seems to stay up more often, but using the drivers switch it goes back down 99 times out of 100. Looks like I'll head back to the scrapyard next weekend for switches. Should have nabbed them while I was there. Any visual inspections I should make when getting used switches? Dont want to buy duff ones. Unless I just buy a new switch for the passenger side and see if that solves it, and just not use the drivers side switch for the other window because the drivers window is fine.
  10. Got a link for the ebay exhaust? Need a midbox myself but may opt for a system if it's cheap.
  11. whats jap life like? always dreamed of living in Japan or China. Sweet ride btw (Y)
  12. is it just a case of buying switches and replacing them then? seen you can buy a pair of switches on ebay for around 8-9 quid, but my drivers side has dual window switches for NS and OS windows so unsure if a single switch would fit?
  13. and are these nozzles a standard from another vehicle or custom? thanks
  14. Any other mods done and mapping? Or just a straight injector nozzle change?
  15. Would that still happen sporadically though? I can be driving along with the window closed and it randomly opens. I then try to close it from the drivers switch and it just constantly goes down again but sometimes it stays shut if I use the passenger side switch.
  16. Bump, anyone have any suggestions? Sorry to hound your life @Rich but have you any ideas? So far this is the only issue I've come across thus far, bar the noisy exhaust which I can sort haha.
  17. So use some 2 stroke as well as diesel? How much we talking? Cant say I've ever used it tbf. I average around 14-15 miles/litre, so expected around the 1400 mile mark for what I have, plus topping up with diesel.
  18. H4 is the fitment for an arosa/lupo. Osram nightbreakers are amazing. I was going to get HIDs for my loop but when i collected it it had Nightbreakers fitted and honestly, i think i prefer the nightbreakers. excellent bulbs.
  19. At 57p a litre it's a lot cheaper. Plenty of folk seem to rave about old sdi being great on veg and a lot run it on svo. Not what I would do personally I'd always use a bit of diesel in as a mix or as a friend recommended some petrol (small amount) EDIT: to note, im also using fresh oil, not recycled. got a deal on 100L from a supermarket.
  20. I'm running a 70/30 mix mostly, 20-25l of veg to 5-10l of diesel. In the warmer months itll be more than that though I would imagine. Oil change twice a year and fuel filter and it should be fine. I have to say I've had zero issues thus far. Starts first turn of the key and runs great.
  21. You can get a 1.8t golf or a3 for about 400 quid. Drive it for a year to get used to it, then do the conversion. Insurance will be cheaper and you'll be a better driver
  22. your insurance will check your engine. If you have lied to them by not declaring an engine conversion (because they WILL ask if the car has any modifications) You will have void insurance, and depending on the circumstances, you could end up in prison. dont be a dick. declare it. I wouldn't necessarily do a logbook declaration, but if you fail to declare and even if someone totals your car whilst parked up, they will still void your policy. If you cant afford the insurance dont do the swap.
  23. Sadly nobody seems to be on this forum in general anymore 😂
