  1. Mine have rust and leaked fluid everywhere, where they attach to the steering rack! a 40 mile drive home wasn't much fun. VW still do them, at 47 for the rack to reservoir, and 197 for the pump to rack! No thanks! So does anyone have both of these or even one of them available? Thanks!
  2. Model: Lupo 1.4E 16v Automatic Year: 1999 'V' reg Mileage: 88800 MOT: 15th July 2016 Pics: Below Location: Gillingham Kent Price: £300 ono Contact details: PM or email gez at live.it I've had this for 2 months, Driving home yesterday the power steering pipes started to leak, the steering whines and grinds, puddle of fluid under the car this morning. They're corroded where they connect to the steering rack. The car has rust to the drivers side wing, but I recently bought another in the same LR5A colour to replace it with, and will come with the car. The alloys can stay with the car or it can come on polo 13" steels, the alloys have recent new tyres. I was told the cambelt was changed last year along with a new water pump and exhaust, but I have no paperwork to back this up, I have paperwork for other bits and bobs. A new battery was fitted in July. The interior is a bit dirty, but I'll give it a scrub if it sells, there's a few bumps and scratches with age. The wipers only work on slow and fast, the intermittent doesn't work at all. Selling as spares or repairs due to the power steering issue, I don't fancy driving it for fear of knackering the PAS pump as it has no fluid, but if you want to test drive it and have arms like popeye then be my guest, I'm off until new year. It's dark so can't get any photos but if there's any interest I'll nip out in the daylight.
  3. I have a 99 Lupo 1.4E Automatic. Was driving home last night and the steering started to whine and grind, parked up and this morning there's a puddle of fluid under the engine bay! Jacked the car up and had a look and it looks like the metal end parts of the pipes were rusted and crumbling in my fingers and are leaking, by the steering rack. Now I have a 98 Polo 6N 1.4 auto parked up which runs fine but was eaten by rust, would the Polo pipes fit the Lupo (providing they're not rotten too)? Just asking before I go and try to buy some new ones.
  4. OK, I've got the old ones out and some u clips to put one back in, I'll keep an eye on ebay for a Golf one, cheers chaps.
  5. Nope! I'm hoping someone has replaced theirs and has a spare one for sale, hence me posting in the wanted section!
  6. HI. The speaker in my passenger door has blown (torn all the way round), and I'd like to replace it with a proper Lupo one, as they aren't that bad (I think, compared to some crap I could buy in Halfords). Thanks!

    Hello!

Hello from Kent!, just bought myself a Lupo and have signed up here. A soft blue (LR5A) 1.4E It's got some pretty naff 15" alloys (Joe Sport??) which I need to change, otherwise it's standard. The Lupo is a little run around whilst I decide what to do with my MK2 Golf which recently failed its MOT, although the smile the Lupo puts on my face when I drive it it could well end up a keeper.
