  1. I was just agreeing with redfox. I was making the point that a citroen c1 is as nippy as a dead cat, the fox has more touqe than most if not all rivels, even some in the supermini class. I was not trying to get at you.
  2. That sound a good idea but how do you think is best to tackle the rivets
  3. recover would be very expensive. Some valet and paint chip companys will fix small holes. just out of intrest what cloth have you got in the car. Back n white stripes Paul smith or Honeycomb
  4. I know the heads just have small recesses no star, +, - or any other things in them so you can turn them. I don't want to mess with the wires because I am not sure how it effects the warranty of the car
  5. Ok so I have installed a new HU and rear speakers in to the fox, now I want to change the bog standard front speakers. Problem 1. they look as though they are riveted in so you can't get them out ? (only way iknow to do it is drill or cut the rivets) Problem 2. they have a strange connector on the end (which I don't want to cut) it clips into the top of the speaker housing in to the posi and negy pins Can anone help Thanks
  6. There quick compered to other cars in there class. I can carry 4 with no probs, also because of the room in the back they are comfortable for longer trips. I am gearing up for my yearly trip down south aprox 300 mile which last year the little Fox did without breaking a sweat I have just put a new stereo in and some new speakers in the back (thinking of putting a how to up for the rear speakers if anyone is interested)
  7. the 70 bhp is 12 valve and the 55 is 8 so ecu won't do much. you would be better off getting alloys, take the spear wheel out and put a large induction kit on that will make the car lighter and give you maybe 5 bhp more. A remap is not much point I would not have thought as it will cost quite a bit and if you want to do that, I would spend the money on a car with a bigger engine to start with. Just my 2p
  8. you may need a car specific iso connector avalabule off the web or from halfords bluespot
  9. This my work for standard HU new HU I just ordered one of these or another HU I decided I would be better off getting a new HU instead of converting my old factory one. both these HU have direct ipod connection giving you full control of the ipod. They are rear connections meaning you can make it look pro by yourself.
  10. The factory stereo is out and a Kenwood KDC-W6041U in. full ipod connection. I just need to know has anyone changed the factory speakers in the front, as mine are like riveted in.
  11. Anyone else have a view
  12. Hi can anyone help I want to connect my ipod to my vw stereo, will either of these do the job motor world aux Thanks for the help
  13. Thanks for the pics. I went in to Halfords for the keys to remove the stereo and they said they don't keep them in stock, but he offered me Vauxhall double din keys (what a knob). I think I will remove the stereo and have a look when i get some keys. thanks for the help.
  14. No I have a piece of black plastic in my glove box. dose anyone have a pic of the aux and maybe of the back of the stereo.
  15. Damn is the aux only in an 08 model. I have found a kit for you to put your ipod in, but I need a pic of the back of the stadard headunit, also can I get away with just two removel keys rarther than four. Thanks
  16. I have an 07 and some woman flashed me I only had my side lights on ! I have also noticed that I light up everything on the road front and back. love the car though better than my mum and dads.
  17. I want to have 14" wheels so same size as now but less weight so a bit better economy and slightly faster. They look better than steels as well.
  18. The car is serviced I am glad it did not cost me anything as they just change the oil and filter as the air filter is 40k miles before it needs changing. No problems other than thursday when I decided to park agents a wall and took 4 chips out my back bumper (only problem with coloured bumpers). I like the car it is faster than you think it will be. (even faster when I put som alloys on it I am a bit slow with the mods )
  19. My Fox is ok just a bit of a trim rattle it's in for it 's first service on monday so I will see if they change the com unit I will keep you posted.
  20. Why they look ok but they are ££££££ and Fiat My next car will be a Polo mybe a bluemotion or if VW make a Fox bluemotion as it will be fast and cheap.
  21. Hi I have a 1.2 urban fox the engine is better than the C1's the C1 sports a 65 BHP whith 65 NM of toque the fox is 55 BHP and 85 NM. have you driven it some people say the 1.2 is as good as the 1.4 witch is the same as your loop has the thingh is slightly more wight with the fox (bang some allys on it you loose the wight) i like the fox you need to got to the dealer and thrash one.

    The VW Up!

I like the look the ass end is a bit strange. The 1.2 in the lighter Fox is quicker than the Polo. The Up is supposed to be lighter than the fox. no need to break the bank if it is going to cost £4000 ripe for modifying unless it comes as standard with those wheels.
  23. Thanks I have found some speakers they are kenwood and have the connector with them so I will order them and have a bash it dose not do anything to the warranty dose it thanks again
  24. Hi I wanted to do this today but the numb nuts at hafords did not know what i was on about so no luck. robster how did you do it can you list the parts and were you got them from anybody else have any info that would be cool. thanks
