Anyone know where I can get one? My exhaust is on its way out and I figured this would be my best option .Thing is I can't seem to find anywhere online that stocks them. Mainly just finding scorpion systems but I don't like the single pipe exit. Dunno what my other options would be really.

Look's about as low as I have mine, does look good! You thought about some spacers for the rear wheels? I have 20mm's on mine and it stops the wheels hiding in the arches nicely I really want a Anthracite GTI though now seeing this one!

I'm pretty sure the part number for this is 6X0512335. A quick Google for that brings up images of a 'rubber doughnut' that I remember from when I put on my coilovers! Might have a look at mine aswell actually as it very occasionally makes a clunk sound aswell!

Mine does this as well so I always leave it running a minute or two before setting off in the winter. Usually stops it happening

To give you a bit of an idea, I paid £2700 for a 2001 on 78k, so i'd say the price is kind of high aswell! Unless I got myself a bargain I suppose, ha.

I agree mainly with Sausage, such a nice colour as it is! Not particularly a fan of the de-badged front end, makes it look like it's been done to be used in one of those car insurance adverts, That's just my opinion though! Definitely appreciate the work you are putting into it and I do like those alloys!

Would it be the same fuse? number 4? **Actually scratch that. Looked into it some more and found a fuse box diagram and it looks like there's a few that I will have to check! Hopefully that is the issue!

Strange one this. Had the EPC light on since I got the car, it's been scanned when it was serviced and came up with error code 16955/P0571/001393 - Brake Light Switch (F): Implausible Signal I was told I would probably just need a new switch. have put in a brand new VW brake light switch and cleared the error. But it just comes back again. The brake lights all work fine and always have, so any ideas what it could be? More irritating than anything having the light on all the time on the dash!

How much did it cost you? Probably going to need one myself soon. Was contemplating a Janspeed if the VW ones are crazy expensive!

Nice. You have suitably inspired me to give it a go. I've sprayed up a new boot handle and a tow eye cover myself so I already have a can that matches and a slight amount of prior painting/sanding experience . I'll get some hydrate 80 ordered and nip up to Halfords for a few other bits at weekend! Cheers mate.

Both the rear arches on my GTi have some rust on the inside lip, one worse than the other. I feel like I could possible deal with it myself after looking at this. Plus with the lip being pretty much out of view it wouldn't have to be 100% perfect paint wise I would imagine!

Not much to add, managed to get the handle out in the end and put the new one in. Much nicer! Really need to get around to buying a machine polisher. When it's sunny the amount of swirls makes me seriously unhappy

haha nah, its a bit stiff but I can lock and unlock it with the key fortunately! If I had the money/time i'd get a mk5 golf handle put on to be honest. Standard ones are crap.

I'll have another look at it at weekend then and give it a try with the key in. Cheers!
