  1. Looks complete though, which is handy. There are a lot of us on here that are very envious. A Raven Blue GTi. No words.
  2. If the clutch pedal is resting lower than the brake pedal, most likely the pedal box, not the cable... See the pedal box thread. Looking nice and shiney! Inside looks near mint. Good job cleaning it.
  3. Same as mk4 Golf right side, rear door, top hinge. I had to do one of mine last year. Exact same problem. Easy to remove in a breakers yeard with spline tool/triple square. Very tight though.
  4. Yeah, any equivalent replacement should be fine. Ebay sellers. Lots available, as very common problem. Buy new of course. Ideally a branded unit, like Valeo or Meyle etc. Take care removing the key lock bit from the door so the retaining ring doesn't drop out. Seal inside well once done so the rain doesn't get in afterwards. 👍🏻 Lots of pics for all of us to inspect please!
  5. Yeah, it's most likely the lock mech and microswitches (inside). Such a common problem to all VAG cars, plagueing everything from Lupos to Phaetons. Octavias to Arosas. Worst case is when it's the rear door that has decided to stay deadlocked in something like a Polo. Bloody nightmare to fix. Usually you end up destroying half the car interior to get to the bare door, so you can drill it out. Once watched a Phaeton rear door fail- and get fixed. Over £2k to sort it. Madness. Oh, and welcome to CL
  6. The penny's just dropped... @mickster bought it! Excellent. I'm a bit slow... (@Rich - no quips about me and SDIs). Looking forward to a full rebuild thread devoted just to that Raven Blue loop.
  7. Tried changing the coolant temp sensor?
  8. @Rich, @Skezza, @lupogtiboy, @RAB, @Blue Loop Ideas? Need lots more info to be honest. Symptoms. Sounds. Got a pic of the warning symbol? Petrol version, but 1.4 tdi in your profile???
  9. Nice! welcome to Club Lupo Lots of regular oil changes on the 1.0L. Like every 3~5k. Check the gearbox oil level (ideally flush it). Enjoy! More pics please. I like the wheels.
  10. Lots of pics please! Should be easy enough to ID just from that pic above. A few unique dents and scuff marks. And there aren't many yellow 16v sport Lupos around. How well is it running these days?
  11. More than likely an electrical problem, with the main supply power bus. Check the power relays and fuses first. Can you hear the pump running? Could be a blockage otherwise. Or fuel pressure regulator. My guess is electrical...
  12. Yeah and no. Depends what the seats came out of. Many early vdubs have the standard vdub three point mounting, with a frame adapter. But some don't (like Polos). And some seats are simply just way too wide, but do fit. Just.
  13. You can get a little bluetooth radio module that you simply stuff in behind the existing tape deck cd player thing. It just plugs into the main head unit, and you can control previous/next tracks just like a CD, from either the control switches or your phone. Oh, and you can control the volume from your phone too, but I use the control knob (easier). Not sure on your hifi, but you might need to unplug the CD module and plug in the bluetooth thing. They're pretty good actually. Don't go for the cheapest, as they hiss and distort. 800 miles on day 1. OMG! From where to where? We need Lupo GTI pics with some amazing scenery (or cool street signs).
  14. Cool. My guess is that they're 3D printed, or maybe they knew someone in the factory... definitely a difficult project. Although, it is possible that the 3D coordinate file might be available from the owner of that car? Let us know what you discover

    Advice please.

Little Toyotas are also good from what I've heard... I have SDIs. Can't say that I've seen any valve failures. Usually it's the rings on the 1.0L. And gearboxes. But any Lupo that's been serviced regularly is usually pretty good. Milage is not really relevant. Do as @Rich suggests 👍🏻

    Hellooo

Hey hey! Welcome to club Lupo! Photo of college edition? We do not have it in the UK.
  17. Parts, easy. Common and cheap. Good little car. But. On the auto, it is >>>essential<<< that you know that the fluids have been changed and flushed regularly. Most people neglect them and the auto box fails. They should have a fluid change (and new filter) at least every five years or around 30k miles. Some say that they are sealed/filled for life. Not true. You can usually tell the condition when you drop the pan and inspect the magnet that catches any chips or metal particles. The old fluid should be clear, not cloudy or burnt smelling.
  18. Yep 👍🏻 But make sure you get the right ones. That link shows the pipes on the rack. You need the flexy ones that go to/from the pump and header tank.
  19. Delete all your email boxes...?
  20. Switch is in door. But now sounds more like a gummed up track or bits on the motor sensor. See how to... A slow window is usually caused by gunge in the felt window tracks. Silicone oil spray often helps. Not the loom.
  21. There's a how to... That is assuming that it's not the switch. If it works fully by lock control, then most probably the switch needs replacing inside (you can buy the separate switch units, but you need to do some soldering). Let us all know how you get on.
  22. I think it is an interference engine...
