  1. So here she is. She is a 1.4s I down sized from a 2.2dci laguna and shes fantastic to drive. love the plucky little engine anyway future plans she has a rust patch on the roof I want to sort, colour code the front and rear valance. Different wheels - not decided yet Coil overs and a few other cards up my sleeve. Watch this space!
  2. Bristol, South west, Just got the 1.4s the wife would kill me if i replaced it already
  3. I don't really understand why you are increasing the brakes? I mean unless you are increasing the power? Beacuse if you phone the insurance company and tell them you have bigger brakes its likely to increase your premium (not all companys) If you dont tell them you breach the conditions of your policy making it void, and if you hit another car it causes a whole world of ****, for you and the other car, i have been in the "other car position myself" Luckily my insurance treated it as an uninsured driver & so did the police..... In the words of Dblock make of it what you will....
  4. air will get blown into the car unless the vents are closed, the judder could be anything I would start with a VCDS scan see if that comes up with anything obvious, Failing that when was it was last serviced? it could be the fuel filter, it could also be a coil - common failure on mk4 golfs
  5. Really enjoyed reading all 18 pages of this. its been said 100 times over cracking thread & job mate really tidy example
  6. That's such a shame, Thank you anyway
  7. On a mg-rover forum i used to be an active member on we used to have a photo challenge. Nothing Illegel or anything it would be things like The person with the biggest dog in the boot of a car - the person who uploaded the first photo would be the winner and set the next challenege so on so forth? its just a bit of fun & a laugh would anyone fancy doing this?

  17. VAG com can be purchased online, they are expensive around £300 could try finding a local form user who has one? or just phone around a few garages. it's a useful tool and is suprising how quickly you can make money back, the other option is try a ODB scanner can get them off amazon for less then £100 but be warned it only seems to pick up some errors. i tried it on my previous mk4 golf Learn to read - sorry missed the bit around you already plugging it in VAGCOM is the way to go tbh
  18. Again PM Lupoboz, and ask him - i am going to do the same
  19. Just to clarify - -it does not grind when changing gears -you can hear it lash on and off the clutch -its a light rattle from in the bell house and when free I couldn't feel anything in the gear casing
  20. Thanks, this might sound stupid, can I replace the bearing myself? is it an easy job to do? any idea where I can get them bearing from
