  1. Wheels look brilliant! I live in Lytham St. Annes, Is the place you work for also known as Volkservice?
  2. Someone PLEASE give me some wheel suggestions!! I'm struggling Thanks in advance
  3. So I bought an Arosa binnacle, prefer the look of it to the Lupo one. Nice shiny steering wheel
  4. Okay so I decided to fit a RightClick central locking or keyless entry system whatever you want to call it. For £30 I thought it was definitely worth doing. I placed the receiver box underneath a bit of trim near the pedals. I needed to remove that bit of trim to do some of the wiring under there anyway so I decided that was good place to put the box. It was just a matter of cutting into certain wires and soldering new wires onto them. I will post the actual colours of the wires and where they are located if anyone asks me This is where the majority of the ones you need are located, underneath the bonnet release handle then behind that bit of trim. Thankfully the receiver box and key were already pre programmed so it worked straight away. I also soldered some of the included wires into my indicator wires so it flashes when it locks and unlocks. Again I can explain it in detail if anyone needs
  5. I had central locking before, perhaps I should've called it Keyless Entry? Apologies if I confused anyone. I will have the write up done over this weekend. By the way, Timpsons refuse to cut key blanks bought off the internet.
  6. Okay so I've got the central locking all wired up and also wired it into my indicators so they flash when it locks and unlocks. I just need to get my key cut, then i'll post some pictures of how I did it. Really happy with the result Definitely worth £30-£40
  7. Another little upgrade to be done over the weekend. I bought a central locking system from RightClick. Hopefully i'll get it wired up over the weekend although they've sent me the wrong key type and I even asked them for the specific type... So I won't be able to start the engine with the new key just yet. I'm going to be following a guide on the forum made by Skezza. The pics are no longer on the thread, so if any of you are interested in seeing some pics of how to do it i'll put them on this thread. Wish me luck...
  8. Upload some pics once you've done the plasti dip? Would like to see how it turns out
  9. Would love to see some pics and some info Dan! I'll send you a PM
  10. Had a bit of a problem today Turns out i was a little too low on the front for my massive 195/50/15 tyres liking. I turned up onto a steep road and bent the lip on the underneath of my arch. I risked driving home which turned out to be a stupid mistake I tore a bit of rubber off the outer edge of the tyre whilst turning round a corner. So i got my dad to bring me some tools and we bent the lip back into place. When i got home we rust treated the arch, raised the front by 10mm and cut a bit off the rear bump stops after lowering the rear a bit too. I decided to swap the front and rear wheels over so that I won't really be using the outer edge of the tyre as much on the rear Aslo cleaned out my drainer pipe next to where the fuel cap as it didn't actually drain anything... How my front right tyre looks Bump Stops shortened Bit of rear ride height for now If anyone knows of any starlites for sale, let me know please
  11. So jealous of your starlites Really really want a set haha! Good thread!
  12. Bit of a boring update but i like doing things like this. Decided to clean out my washer bottle as it was annoyingly dirty! Just left bleach in it overnight then scrubbed it the next morning. Fairly easy and looked 10x better (Don't think anyone will take any interest in this but hey ho!) Before After Few plans for the near future... I want to get a new headunit, got my eye on one at the moment which i think will look pretty good. Hopefully sort that out within the next few weeks Also keeping my eye out for some wheels. I'd love some starlites although they're proving hard to find If anyone has any opinions or suggestions, i'll be happy to hear them
  13. Headunit is looking good! Makes me want to order mine ASAP! The rest of your plans sound good also
  14. Haha agreed Need to do some photoshopping and make up my mind
  15. Okay cheers, you have the same light grey interior as me, wasn't sure about how the dark colour of the seats would look against the rest of the interior. Seems to look okay though
  16. Thank you! Hopefully go a lower on the rear this weekend
  17. So this weekend I fitted my coilovers, took around 2-3 hours with a bit of fiddling with ride height. I'm pretty happy with how the car is sitting at the moment. Can't go any lower than it is on the front without tyres rubbing on the arches as i have 195/50/15's on a 6.5j rim. (Gives me an excuse to buy new wheels and tyres i guess) The rear will probably come down a bit this weekend and i'll get some more pictures up, just want to see how they settle this week More Pics: I'll try go out this week and use my proper camera to get some decent pictures instead of using an iPhone camera
  18. How do you find the GTi seats to sit in compared to your normal arose ones?
  19. Have you got a picture of the new headunit fitted? Wanting something similar myself
  20. I finally decided to order some Coilovers which arrived this week Gonna get them fitted over the weekend and get rid of most of that arch gap Will be interesting to see how the car looks when it's lower
  21. Really really like this! Did you do the headlining yourself?
