  1. So do you drill directly where the centre of the bolt head would of been? Do you have any more info on this, ie, technique, drills type and sizes? Thanks.
  2. Guys, In my opinion, dont get it welded. I am now £200 lighter, it cracked with in two days of getting it welded. Got it welded again and cracked within 3 days. Cant get my under goodwill because it is too old. Im gonna change the pedal box myself. Just trying to work out the best technique to get the shear bolts out! wish me luck!
  3. Update, Car is now lowered on Apex fixed 40mm suspension kit Sticker bombed on the inside Front VW badge changed to matt black
  4. When my pedal box went, I couldnt get into reverse without crunching it and my clutch pedal creaked when I puched it down. Tip....... dont weld it, bite the bullet and get a new one installed.
  5. Hi Guys, Quick update. Put new wheels on. I wanted to make sure they fit and roll ok. They are back off now, waiting for paint De-badged the back removed the rear wiper
  6. I hope so! Just wanna get on with it now. Taking the rear wiper off this weekend. Im replacing it with a glass blanker from gecleant.de
  7. Cause its rubbish and it doesn't fit! will be getting that sorted before spraying commences!
  8. What spring you go for is personnel. Venom motorsports offer a large range of fixed drop kits at different budgets. Go check em out
  9. Hi All, Just bought myself a 1.0 2001 Lupo in that horrible baby blue. Gonna start work on it this weekend. Future changes are as follows, aftermarket front speakers and double din unit Sticker bomb all exposed piant on the interior of the car 40mm lowering (Apex fixed drop kit) 14 inch replics BBS alloys Rear wiper removal Side trims removal House of Kolor, candy tangerine paint job (gonna be loud!) Debadge except for the VW logo Will add pick as I go. Just wanna say a quick thank you to all the members who are involved in the "how to section". Has given me a lot more confidence! This is how it looks now
  10. Welcome, If you only going down 40mm, how about getting a fixed drop suspension kit. Alot less hassle than coilovers. Thats what ive down, just a thought.
  11. I have also just sold my caddy to fund this Lupo project Ill get a pic of the Lupo tomorrow
  12. This is my VRS the day I singed for it!
  13. Hi all, Brand new here. I just about to start my Lupo project. My first question is, do the fixed suspension kits come with new top hats or do I have use the originals. ie, do I have to buy a spring compression tool. Thanks all. Nathan
