  1. Lol, I'm an old fooker so I like to do it properly, plus the old aerial was knackered also I wanted a sat nav aerial so the one I've fitted has fm, dab and satellite all built in. :-)
  2. Thanks for the warning Rich, I'm going to be re trimming the head lining, but also making a centre spine with various audio related stuff in it which will run the length of the roof. This will be a fibre glass and timber 'creation' and will be chunky enough to hopefully mean roof distortion won't be a problem. But thanks very much for the heads up, I hadn't even thought that could be a problem. :-)
  3. Thanks for posting this, just trolling about here as my drivers side window has got the hump and doesn't work, replaced the switch and can hear the relay clicking but the window just sits there looking smug and refusing to move. I can see some window regulator cleaning coming up this weekend. :-)
  4. On a slightly different note had to drop the headlining out the other day to fit a new aerial as I've got a DAB tuner thing for the stereo build I haven't laughed so loudly in ages the sound deadening from the factory is bloody cardboard. :-D managed to fight it all out over a couple of hours and started getting some dyna-splat in its place. I know they were pretty cheap but cardboard that's a new one. Lol
  5. Not been about for a bit, no I was toying with the mk7 gti seats. But, not sure what to do I spent a fair few years as a car audio installer bod, so I'll be dumping the backseats got a few ideas but it will be a long term project as I'm helping a mate do his fully caged mk2 golf 1.8T at the mo so that's going to be taking up most of my spare time. Out of interest why won't most other modernish seats fit? Are they to wide/high or is there another reason. Working on older cars they would pretty much just swap in and out on earlier vw's. Thanks for all the suggestions, any ideas or help is most welcome and useful. :-)
  6. Lovely job thank you nice and short that's how we like our answers. Lol
  7. Hi folks, I've had a look through previous posts on the search but didn't seem to find the info I'm after. Would polo seats fit straight into a Lupo? I don't want to shell out on fleabay only to discover there's not a chance. It's mainly the front seats, probably going to remove the rears in pursuit of my stereo fabrication addiction. Any help would be great. Ta
  8. Did you ever go ahead with this Jahre if so how did you get on?
